Official 328 GTB/GTS Market Thread

I believe that most the cars are being sold. It might be counter intuitive but as market prices increases so does sales volume. The perception is - buying later will result in a higher cost while buying now may yield gains. This is not unique to Ferraris. It's Economics and applies to all purchases, i.e. stocks, bonds, real estates, etc.

 

Also, as prices climb, more cars come onto the market as sellers want to take advantage of higher prices.

 

You are correct. This also contributes to the increased sales volume. I've experienced it first hand. A dealer had an 86 that he was asking 90k for. I thought he was crazy but the car was gone in a week. I also saw a low mileage 89 offered for 200k and it sold as soon as it was listed. These two cars were in the USA.

 

Well, I have news for you, friend...my personal record spotting in the "standard" selling adds, until today, in Germany:

Chassis 81288, 12.968 kms (about 8.000 miles)....

125.000 euros asked price.

Interestingly there are currently 2 turbo cars on sale in the UK. High mileage though:

The Red 328GTB on ebay lasted two days! What's that mean? If a car sells almost instantly, the market for GTB's has certainly heated up.

 

WOW! Time to increase my insurance coverage.
