You go and park your 308 on your buddies driveway for a few hours. When you leave, how big is your mark? Be honest :). How big in diameter is the oil stain. If you have more than one 308 pick the worst one (It will make me feel better).

One or two pencil size drips, if any. Depends how long it sits. Usually takes overnight or longer to drip.

Before the major service I finished in September, the mark was multiple quarter-sized spots.

After the major service, those leaks are fixed, but I have a new leak that would leave a single larger spot...

I'd be genuinely interested to marry this poll up with one about what oil is used, but I guess that's tempting a thread calamity ;)

Been parking my 308 in my garage here for seven or eight months and still only have a few small spots, so very little.

In the past year I have:
    - used a coolant system tester to pressurize the system, thereby finding and fixing about 38 tiny leaks (which sounds like a lot until you consider that the 308 cooling system has 432,873,167 hose unions that can leak).
    - annealed the copper crush washers for the oil and transmission drains, even though the washers were new.
    - replaced cam, smog pump, cam drive oil seals
    - replaced petcock on engine block

The car has gone from being the sort of public embarassment that makes you think of commercials for adult incontinence products to zero drips. It's scary - I find myself having to check the oil and coolant every time I go anywhere, just to be sure that there's any in there.

If my car ain't leakin', it's out of oil! Leaked oil protects the beautiful cast aluminum underneath anyway...why change that?

Not a bad idea. I don't mind sharing.

Mobil 1 15W-50 in the motor. Redline 75W90NS in gearbox.

I went from a quarter sized mark to a penny size after I put stock airbox on with the correct breather configuration. Next I think I am going to go after the distributor o ring. I want to be one of the dripless, but I don't think I am going to go crazy if I don't make it. :)

Very small leak from Diff output on gearbox. Not worth fixing now.

I have one of the quarters. That will go away as soon as I can figure out how to fix a crack in the block where the oil temp sensor screws in. Someone over torqued it.

No leaks, major was 4.5 years ago and addressed a couple then. I fixed a distributor seal leak last year. Now zip, zero on my floor or anyone else's. Valvoline VR racing oil for me.

Mine was leaving quite a few small less than penny sized drops - that was before I had the cam seals replaced.

Now its leaving a single hockey puck amount from the lower cam sprocket drive seals :-(

I use Redline 5W40. Oil leak is coming from the air pump, i think.

I'd suggest those saying no leaks see their eye doctor.

I don't know, there's probably something wrong with my car as my eyes are fine. Yes before I use to have quarter size oil leak I see on the cardboard that I always put under my car because I know both of my pan gaskets and shift shaft seals are old but, after I replaced my shift shaft seals and pan gaskets a year ago and cam seals two yes ago, I don't see anymore leaks anywhere. Oil pan and tranny pan are both dry and cardboard is clean and dry, there's got to be something wrong and I'm even using synthetic oil, (Redline 5w50)
