Well, We already mentioned that the market is foolish and none can predict how it will go. Back in 2010, who could have predicted that the market will rocket Miura price... I sold mine in 2011 for less than 300.000 € and today try to find one below 900.000 €.

Is the Countach market different from Miura ? Or what is the difference with a 246 Dino GT that worthes 300 to 350.000 € and they sold for that...

From a user collector point of view, Countach doesn't worth more than 150 to 200.000 €, I was happy with that untill 2013.

From a static car collector point of view, Countach may vary from 200 to 300.000 € and it is already a lot. For instance, I was offered a "particular" Countach S3 low mileage for less than 330.000 € in March this year, it was already too expensive and didn't buy it.

So this blue S1 may interest speculators like we meet a lot actually... and it can make 1M USD like the one in Monterey (and this blue Tahiti has Stewart gauges & Bravo wheels...), if it will sell for 600.000 USD for instance... how the market will react then ?

At that market level it will not a stability but an earthquake... Due to current market and its overall shape #112.1096 may worth 700 to 800.000 USD, but I can't read in a crystal ball...

Fair comments all, and I understand your POV.

I was told by the restorer that he skipped rebuilding the engine, and if you view the images, you can see that it is cosmetically unrefreshed also. Ditto the interior, which was not touched and still has the worn look, and remains in its non-original color.

Who knows what a charged public auction brings, but I know that in a Private Treaty negotiation I'd be pegging this one at $600,000 give or take, the same price as it was being offered for just 90 days ago.

I wonder what a clean unmolested no stories Euro S1 will go for?

Imho, i find that "particular" S3 for ca $411.000 (330.000 €) would be a much better buy than the mentioned S1. Yes, i know the market has changed since then.......

I spoke yesterday to seller, asking price is 650.000 € / 812.000 USD... compared to the discussion we had about the S1 Blue Tahiti...

The car will arrived this coming friday evening and a German buyer will be present saturday 1st hour, already sold ?

Description explained that 1st owner & 2nd owner were in Danemark, while my records show it was delivered new to EmilianAuto dealer in Bologna, but Romano Bernardori told me he was selling worldwide... so no surprise.

That's one of the best pictures. Almost a period image.

That's what I thought as well, but actually the bold lettering is just a link to other cars they have already sold. The Countach is still in the 'for sale' section if you click that link.

    Not the best website design...

Thanks for pointing that out, nice eclectic mix of cars, this one seems a departure.
