Well, it does feel smaller, and that's not surprising, given the large difference in wheelbase. Anyway, at least the 599 has more room for your walking frame. And buy a Smart? Now that would be dumb!
well, considering that all 575 and 599 owners are old enough to need a walking frame, then that's quite a bonus! size is important. and because I love repeating myself, everything about the 599 is better. An unsaleable car?? lol...I don't think so! try selling a 575 if you want to know what unsaleable means. 550 is a cult car now, though.
No car is unsalable. Just put it in an auction with a $0 starting bid, unreserved, that's the value. Are you repeating yourself?
The 599 is a big car just park one next to a 575. Is a fast car as well. It is also in my opinnion an poorly designed car , very angular . The first v12 made by ferrari which is not a gentlemans GT . It will be worth less than a 575 in the future based on production numbers alone. You would think that the 599 would be the logical upgrade for 575 owners but this is not the case.
They look pretty good to me. Here's a new addition to the neighbourhood http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/schmick325/599_zps5384d2e1.jpg
A UK 575 in black recently sold in a few days. Tony Graziano has 2 red 599's that have been sitting on his floor for 2 years. Forget the price, which model is more liquid?
It is a big car, looks better in person than pics. I don't think production numbers will have any effect on value vs 575, here in Oz anyway. IMO 599 will always be above a 550/575 in terms of pricing. That $170k price you mentioned is a one off. Was it the CTS car? Hard to believe anyone buys their cars
I don't think you can forget the price. Completely different market. Loads more buyers at the $100k level vs $300k. That 575 I believe sold for $115k
I remember in import 550 that sat at Pickles up in Brisbane for 6 months, that was unsellable. UK import. I think it went for around $85k in the end. Amazing how things can change
Production numbers make a huge difference in the desirabilty of a car. The ferrari market is a world market and if out aussie dollar drops you will see UK cars being repatriated as some have already been. Prices for 575s are up up in the UK.
Stock levels are way down all across the board. Remember when there were 65 360's on Carsales. Theres about 25 now. Where have all the cars gone?!
No, not that one, that was over 68000 MILES anyway. One sold in Sydney recently, prestige dealer in Artarmon
There's a Pearl White 599 around Bris. Thats got to be one of the most striking i've seen. Black would also be awesome
575 is available in very limited numbers in Australia. Probably less than 50. The owners who wish to upgrade will hold on for a couple of years until an F12 can be had for $300k.
