Not always. Look at the number of Dinos vs Daytona vs C4 and compare the values

C4 is a 2+2 so that holds it back from the get go and the dino and daytona have both achieved cult status .

I think they're at a level that they're cheap and not worth selling

Yes, it's complicated, not just about production numbers. 550/575 have hit the bottom of the depreciation curve. Any apparent rise in value is only because the top end is going up (rising tide etc). When that pops lower end models like the 575 will head south too

Then he was asking too much. People sell their 599's practically overnight if the price is attractive.

550 and 599 are cars in their own right....the 575 is just an inbetweener....not wanted by the real enthusiasts and skipped for the better 599.

    You are correct.

I am not suggesting that the 575 will outperform the market. Just the 599. Fiscally speaking ,that is.

Can't see it happening. Market will be for a 550 or a 599. 575 will be skipped and promptly forgotten about.

Mate, I just can't see that happening, what makes them more attractive? They've been unloved for a long time, what's changed?

I think that the 575 espescially the manuals and the superamerica will be far more valuable than the 550.
The 575 is a better sorted car than the 550 , but the F1 does not appeal to all. But then again a manual 599 is the proverbial needle in the haystack , so maybe the F1 will not be such a handicap.

I want it for myself. If nothing turns up by Friday, I'm buying a 430. Sorry I started this miserable diatribe!

Disappointed I stumbled upon this discussion so late.

But, anyone who thinks that a 599 is better looking than a 550/575 should have their licence revoked on the basis of failed eyesight.

There's a reason the F12 is so much smaller than a 599, and that is that the 599 is ludicrously large and barge-like.
    Very un-Ferrari.

    Performance is irrelevant.

In what respect is a 575 better sorted than a 550?

I looked and researched both cars extensively prior to purchasing my 550 and could not see any advantage of the 575 over the 550 except that it was a newer model. Once I drove the 575 F1 the decision was easy.............. 550 hands down.

Both cars are bullet proof, besides minor items such as engine mounts that can be replaced with 575 mounts there are no major reliability issues that the 575 has over the 550. The nose and interior of the 550 more attractive than the 575 in my honest biased opinion. :)

+1 just saw this thread; perhaps someone has already posted this photo.

This is going to get me in very deep doo-doo with some friends, but if I were given a 599 I'd sell it and buy a three-pedal 575.
