I had a full tubi'd CS before my Scud, nothing compares to my current Scud on wot, nothing, aside from a pre-v6-turbo formula 1 car.

It's not the volume either, perfect F1 shrill & pitch that doesn't thin out at any range like those synthetic sounding ipe 458s.

Between the CS & Scud, you can't go wrong...just a different flavor of awesome.

I enjoy driving my scud thoroughly at street legal speeds, unlike my mp4 which felt like driving a Benz or rolls Royce until you pushed it to its limit.

People seem to forget, you can always turn the manettino all the way to the right and it's just you and the car. And thanks to one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time Mochael Schumacher you can drive the wheels off it on bumpy street road without constantly chattering your teeth with the soft dampening button.

Underpowered / slow is just that; you feel it period and nothing can mask it.

    Buy both!
Hardest decision was which one to get first. I went for the Scud.
    Hopefully a CS soon.

This CS vs Scud discussion has been beaten to death, there really isn't a definite answer, it all depends on personal preference.
Try them both, they are both great cars, Scud is obviously faster, but for me, the CS gives me the biggest smile :)

BTW: i'm already looking forward for the Scud vs Speciale discussions in the future! ;) :D

I struggle to believe that a CS costs as much or more than a SCUD, its just a matter of time before all the SCUDs find long term homes

Scud all day!!!! The CS is a nice car but not worth the money people are asking for them for the money I would much rather get a scud. drive both then come back and report.

w all the nannies on in the Speciale I felt invincible. That thing is planted.

But the minute I step out of it and look at it, my eyes hurt. best angle to admire a Speciale imho is from the side and rear quarter angle...everything upfront is an eye sore.

Looks are subjective, the performance on the Speciale is undeniable.

Stock sound kinda sucks, but one of the tuners will probably come up w something to help that part out. Will never sound like a CS or Scud, but anything is better than the stock sound.

If I had to absolutely pick one to go w the Scuderia I think I'd go w the Speciale.

There is no way to make a bad decision here - both cars are awesome. I owned both a CS and Scud car for about 1 year when they were new and thoroughly enjoyed each.

The Scud is unquestionably the better performer and for me the biggest real world difference was speed of the gearbox changes. The F1 technology advanced a lot in the late 2000's and the Scud's gearbox still feels modern whereas the CS' now feels slow and a bit clunky. For that reason and others, the Scud is more civilized in terms of creature comforts and lower driver fatigue. If there is any thought of using the car regularly, the Scud is a better option.

While the Scud is no slouch, where the CS really shines is in the experience in the cockpit. The sound is intoxicating in a way that few cars can match and it is something that has to be experienced to be understood. Also, other than track use, I beleive that the lower HP in the CS actually adds to the fun, because it allows the driver to stay on the throttle at non-felony speeds for longer while enjoying that glorious sound.

I'm personally more partial to the look of the CS and that combined with what I expect will be greater CS collectibility longer term tilts the scales in favor of the CS.

I forgot about that one, I have watched it a few times and then again now since you posted it :)
I think it was an official commercial for the CS.

Freshmeat says different flavors of awesome and I agree.

I don't see how you can make a mistake either way. However, if you are really unsure, and say you have located a good CS and a good Scud, I'd say its worth getting the CS, if you decide to move it for a Scud I think its an easier move than the other way around.

FWIW, I like the Scud more. The Scud is one of the few cars I regret selling.

Here's my F430 with S-Line exhaust (similar sound as the Scud version), definitely really high-pitch, doesn't sound like F430 at all. People say it sounds more like F355.

The CS is like a hot looking girlfriend that only wants to sleep with you. The scuderia is like a hot looking girlfriend that sleeps with you, cooks for you, does your laundry, cleans after you.... Which one would you keep?

    Good point :D Very good!

Anyway - a Scud is faster, better looking and it goes around corners faster than the CS... What more do you need?

Now, if you get a 16M, that raises the collectibility bar over the regular Scud...in fact I'm looking for an 16M right now!

Hmmmmm (totally subjective - but) Dont think so. The CS, is a stunning shape that just looks (elegantly) right from ANY angle. In style terms it's timeless...

The Scud is more aggressive, weapon - dont fnck with me - like and some aspects of it are marmite. Amazing car though... But not a good looking as it's hotter Sibling IMO (and I own a Scud).

Faster around corners? I am not too sure about that... You can see which car is perched above the Scud below in this chart of factory posted lap times at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit...

I agree about the looks, is a matter of taste (for me the Scud is far more beautiful), but I can never believe a CS is faster than a Scud in any conditions or tracks.

Also in this chart I don't see the Scud at all and as far as I know, it gives the same result on Fiorano as the Enzo ;)
