Final times. Williams looking damn good. Really hope Bottles can split the Mercs at the start - Then we'd have a race.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1 Ian a bit of uncertainty and challenge for both Mercedes drivers would make this very fun to end the good season we have had.
Ricciardo just 1.5 tenth behind Massa, just imagine what this car would be if it had Mercedes-power...
Same as every time is how Lewis said he would approach first turn. Nico's comment is optimism saying he needs Williams between them. Lewis is much more professional in interviews.
Actually, I think he's correct in his assessment. Playing not-to-lose is a failure mentality. He does need to drive to win, but avoid taking unnecessary chances. I was okay with Nico "looking for help" from Williams in the interview. Hoping for a car failure would have been unprofessional. I think we'll get a good race tomorrow versus a procession.
For qualifying, I would prefer the guy chasing me in points to start ahead of me....especially going into the first corner.
Sure, but there's no doubt that Hami was going desperately for p1. The reality is Nico has out qualified him over the course of the season, and that definitely bothers Hamilton. He prides himself on his one-lap pace, and to have been beaten on what he's always believed to be his biggest strength hurts. Kudos to Rosberg either way for proving to his detractors that he is easily one of the best drivers on the grid. Anybody who says Rosberg wouldn't be a worthy winner has got blinkers on; at the start of the season everybody expected Ham to blow Rosberg away, and it has been anything but. The tension in Hamilton in all the interviews is palpable.
Did we see the same qualy? Hamilton overdrove the car in his both flying laps showing that he really tried hard...It is not like he let Rosberg got on pole on purpose...Nothing to do with being "smart"...
Rosberg deserves the qualy trophy. No one is complaining about thAt. But to use his qualy performances as evidence towards deserving the wdc is misguided. Lewis has been far wuicker where it counts.
One of these two guys will be WDC. Who ever it is will deserve it. I'd like to see Nico but if Lewis hold on congrats to him.
+1 does it matter. Its a Mercedes driver etc. Ross isnt coming back and texted Brundle denying it. As I posted earlier the Ferrari he knew is gone.
I take it that's your subjected view, I personally believe it's all part of the show, and Lewis I maintain played it smart, he has no point to prove, anyone that has even half a brain can realize who is the faster overall driver, besides the fact he probably figured it's better having a loose cannon in front of him. I said it from the beginning, we ought to be thankful, Lewis had the amount of DNF's he had.
So you think that Hamilton ran wide and over braked the car just to entertain spectators??? That he was actualy cruising and did not try to get pole??? For some reasons Nikki Lauda did not share your opinion and I think he is closer to the happening than you are...
Not only that.. Hamilton cleverly ran wide and over braked just enough to be slower than nico but faster than bottas and massa. He probably did it while munching on a cookie at the same time, so talented and precise is Hamilton.
Did Hamilton need to get on pole...don't bother answering, your both best hoping his has a mechanical failure.
