Mattiaci has stated in the press a 3 year plan. Lets hope this was year 1 and next Ferrari show some good progress. I like Vettel and I hope both he and Kimi can bring good results. I wonder what happens if one or the other is so strong like FA vs Kimi/Massa. Does Kimi leave? What does Vettel do if he has a very bad year like this year. I cant wait for Melbourne
IMO (though this is best for another thread?) it was tough to design a car for Alonso because he's not as good as developing the car as he wants (that's what Fisico was for at Renault) thus it was always a bit of hoping for the best by what the engineers thought he likes. Alonso is one of the few drivers with the style of driving he likes (more understeery). Kimi came on board this year, with completely opposite driving styles so it was never going to work with the way the car was designed. He's been working for months on getting next years chassis in the way he likes it (happily Vettel has a similar driving style). He's worked with James Allison before which was pretty succesful IMO. Next year they can have the same turbo set up as the Merc so will be much closer in power. Fingers crossed.
Interesting point mentioned: this is the first year since 1967 without a win by either a Ferrari, a McLaren, or a Williams.
Are they different after this year lol ??? PS have you seen anything more on Ross Brawn? I have seen nothing and I asked via SMS to the paddock friends I have and nothing....

Congrats Lewis and Merc. I don't think I've ever felt happier about a season ending. Here's hoping things change for the better next year
Interesting. Williams threw that race. If they'd brought Massa in three or four laps earlier, he'd have been five seconds back with a dozen laps to catch and pass. Then we'd have seen if Ham would be smart or aggressive. And Massa would be defending on worn tires at the end. If they'd left Massa run to the end, he'd have been trying to defend with utterly shot tires -- big risk of an incident. So they brought Massa in at exactly the time to keep Massa and Ham separated. 11 sec back with 8 to go: no chance at all. So: did they change strategy in mid-stream, responding to Ham turning up the wick? Or did they intentionally take the Williams out of the fight? Three or four times, this year, it seemed like Williams intentionally took their cars out of contention.
But Hamilton had more wins and therefore is 2014 world champion dot com Rosberg even said that Hamilton was faster this year, your your sour grapes are irrelevant.
if it wasnt for jenson mclaren wouldve lost to force india in constructors in the last race they better thank him by giving him that seat - his performance today just paid for his own salary pretty much.
I think they planned to leave Massa out there while Hamilton cautiously protected a podium finish. However, Rosberg's continued drop in performance meant Hamilton was released to fight for the win. So Williams responded by changing Massa's tyres. You're right, it was a little late. I don't think any team would consciously throw away a race victory. All the best, Andrew.
