If it weren't for some of the other "banter" and "friends" I have here, I'd be gone. The signal to noise ratio really has fallen thru the floor recently. :(

Hopefully, they'll be back in (special?) school soon and normal programming will be resumed.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I think Massa still is a Ferrari fan he did not want to be cut. I have heard Ross Brawn met with the new Ferrari chief in Maranello.........

I love Ferrari but not what it odes on a daily basis but what it stands for and I stand with it. I hope with Luca leaving they design so good looking cars again.....

... straw that broke the camel's back, for Luca di Montezemolo, Felipe Massa, on the podium, just being himself, clad in Williams colors, having just demoted Ferrari, on Ferrari's home turf, to 4th in the constructor's championship, embracing the tifosi in Italian, thanking them for being so terrific.

By the swift sword of Felipe Massa, Luca di Montezemolo's head is on a stick. As it should be. "He who laughs last laughs best" - English Proverb.

Awesome job by Felipe today.... Best thing that could have ever happened to him was being let go by so called "dream team". If not for a bit of bad luck he would be fighting For third fourth fifth in the championship... Keep it up Felipe.... You have stuffed a lot of corks in many haters mouths!!!!!

unfortunately it is mostly about the car. I am bummed we got Vettel next year as I think he is not that great a driver just got the best car for 4 years. I also think losing Alonso is bad, as he makes the bad car look good by his driving. I wish Ferrari had Alonso and Riccardo next ear......

T prove my point it would be a great experiment to put any of the other drivers in the MB I bet many backmarkers would still end up 1 or 2........I yearn for no engine rules and 3 liter 12's......

... F1's comeback driver of the year (decade), it is hard to believe, though Felipe's had 8 DNFs, and started the season 22nd in 2014 the championship, he sits 8th in points. Nearly killed 4 times this year, run over by as many fellow drivers, Felipe's shaped up quite nicely, poised to snatch 7th in the driver's championship, from Jenson - asj.

Give Massa a win and we will see him back to his pre 2009 form. I'm sure its all about confidence.......... this was drained when he was Alonso's number two. Pray and hope Williams still have a competitive car next year and maybe we will see the Mercedes beaten.

Both lewis and nico are a class above massa. I don't see him taking it to them even in an equal car

Not a Hamilton fan but undoubtably he gets the best out of the Mercedes but I think Massa would match Rosburgs efforts with ease if driving the Mercedes........ as I think would most drivers on the grid........I see there is talk of 3 car teams next year and if Button is out of a job, Williams would be a sensible home.

Awesome job again Felipe!!!! What a difference a year and new team makes!!!

He and Williams will be even better next year after they collect their 3rd place constructors infusion of Bernie Bucks!

I think lewis and nico do not compare to what I consider as gentleman driver.s I think both are whiners especially when losing which is a sign (to me) of poor sportsmanship. I think Felipe is a class act, which are far a few between. Even though I am a hardcore tiffosi it was good to see both Williams on the podium. To me Mclaren and now MB are the dark side and I expect niki to be wearing Darth vader hat next year! HAA

Well done to Massa for his great race performance in Abu Dhabi.

Remy Zero, are you expecting that Bottas will just step aside and say "After you!" for Massa? Comprehensively through the entire season, Bottas out-drove Massa. If Williams has a championship contender car next year, I expect that Bottas will be the contender driver.

Why you say Bottas 'comprehensively' outdrove Massa?

The stats for 2014 are as follows:

    Massa DNF : 3
    Bottas DNF: 1

In qualifying, Bottas was ostensibly the quicker driver, although often by no more than a tenth, outqualifying Massa 13 to 6.

However, despite starting on the backfoot, in races where neither driver DNF-ed, Massa beat Bottas 8 to 6.

Without the DNF's its would be pretty much a coin toss.
