Do you have a very good mechanic to install the Forza diff ? If not, go to BB-Motors in Stuhr/Bremen ... (Can give you lots of information about it)

This is a very uplifting and positive thread, as a former owner of a black TR, I wish to change the tone, and express my deep, bitter and abiding jealousy!!!!

: ) congrats, awesome machine and awesome work.

Hi CD, congrats for your very nice car.

I have a specific question about shipping the parts from germany to Rob. So I think it will be ok for all others when I ask this in german:

Ich möchte meine klebrigen Teile ebenfalls bei Rob behandeln lassen und bin gerade etwas verzweifelt nachdem ich mit FedEx gesprochen habe. Das ist ja ein unglaublicher Aufwand für die Zolldeklaration.

Wie hast Du versendet? Wäre dankbar für einen unkomplizierten Weg.
    Beste Grüße aus dem Norden

Eberlein is an official Ferrari dealership, right?

And they've accepted to install a major aftermarket part?

I'm very interested to know because I'm going to ask Ferrari also and would like to have an argument in case they try and sell me a very expensive F512M diff carrier instead.

    Thanks,

Yes, Eberlein is a really highly reputed specialist and if there is a part which
is beyond doubt the will work with it.

Ok, they do not take over any liability for disadvantages with the diff,
so there is no guarantee in the part but that is no problem for me,
because we know that the diff is much mor better than the original. :)

    Hi nupsi,

sende mit UPS und du hast keine Probleme! ;)

Du mußt den Inhalt als defekte Teile deklarieren die überarbeitet werden.

    Grüße Christian

Gorgeous car. I loved reading the whole story on this car, and it looks like she's in good hands.

Please do NOT install a oem ZF 512M diff; they also fail: I have recent photos ! It has nothing to do with Classiche !

I really wonder if Eberlein has real gooed engeneers to do a gearbox themselves ... go to Romano or BB Motors in Bremen/Sturh !

Yes, they can remove an 458 engine, a clutch of 348 ... but not reurbish those 512BBI or TR gb's anymore.

The get a "refurbished" gearbox from Marannello... don't have the skills to do that themselves, ASK them ... they will confirm that.

Or they have a "Romano" in the neighbour village who may do te refurbishment for them ... :)

I ask them! They do all that stuff! They rebuild engines, trans, etc.!

    And they do it inhouse!

Super photo's of the new UK Gripper diff, made specially for Forza Components (Phil) ! It is now also supplied by Ricambi USA.

Christian, please ask Eberlein to document the diff transplant for you (and us here) ! It's an operation that they will not often perform ...

Especially about the preload and shimming ... (hope they have the data ...)
