as i told you before, there are two Porsche 911 3.2 Speedster for sale here in Italy: 200 k each. They have been for sale since four years. But the dealer doesn't sell for less: each time the market goes up, he raises the asking price. Don't ask me why, but that's what's happening here.

    ciao

I agree Alberto, and I remember you saying this. Until this day, I have NOT knowledge of any 328 that has indeed sold at this level of price through the circuit of advertisements.
The bracket here seem to be (but I am not sure, as it is rather difficult to assess these days) at 65 to 75.000.

Thanks, Bruno: that would be not bad at all, as i purchased my two 328 just this year, both at 52 k, one in April (GTS) and one in July (GTB). They are better than a bank deposit, and much more better looking and exciting...

Yes, admitted, although that it actually depends of who is in charge of your account in the bank: I took the girl in charge of mine for a spin in the GTS when I bought the car...

You make me wonder if a girl is more attracted by a man with a Ferrari or by a man that has in the wallet the money to buy a Ferrari. I would guess the second possibility, but who knows: we could do a scientific research and some testing about that, taking ten (or more) nineteen years old 6' 0" ukranian girls. What do you think about that?

The 328 GTB (which is Rosso Corsa) attracts children and men, not women. The 328 GTS (which is Nero Met over Gray leather) works rather well for attracting girls and ladies. And I know it is the car, not me, because I am too old.
As for the Ukrainian girls, it won't work at all: a 328 is way too old for them, it is a poor man's Ferrari, and besides, not flashy enough. Now, should you have a Lamborghini Avantador, my feeling is that this one will work indeed...

    Very interesting indeed...

Is there anyone here that wants to exchange his Aventador (Roadster and 50th Anniversary ) with six old Ferrari? Come on, they are a good investment: make your offer please... ;)

A 328 GTS with 25.000 kms on the odometer has reportedly sold in two weeks here in France for an actual 80.000 euros, this a few weeks ago.

My '86 328 GTS has 29 k km and is pristine: it would worth not much less.

Come on, Aventador Roadster owners, this is the last chance you have... ;)

Wow, that is actually surprising it went that fast. Too bad the listing doesn't show the buyer. Hopefully he will post in this section.

Ferraris only attract young boys and older men. No lady you would really want to care about ever thinks a Ferrari is anything but a statement. No more than a Prius is a statement, albeit a different one. Women might think your Ferrari is interesting, and maybe even really end up liking it, but only if the man driving it is way better than the car. Most beautiful, intelligent, successful women could not care less about our Ferraris. That's a good thing, really.

    Ciao!

For what it's worth, at 19,000 miles, 66511 had probably the lowest miles of any US red/tan pre-88.5 car.

It is interesting to see the different interior colors in the different regions.

Nero leather with rosso carpets is popular in France but this color wouldn't do well in the US.

Rosso carpets are popular in England and have their fans in the US but generally US buyers want a tan interior with tan carpets when the exterior is rosso.

Yep, true; the "plain vanilla standard" for Ferrari's leather here is still Black today, with carpets either rosso or black. And crema leather for our British friends, who call it "magnolia".
My own GTB, 81085, is Rosso Corsa with beige (That You call tan) leather and castoro carpets, and this Is the one i prefer

(excuse the typing errors, but it Is not easy aboard Eurostar...)

So what is the 328 market like in Europe today?

No doubt about it, the US 328 market is moving up but there are not a lot of nice 328 being offered for sale. Most of the cars on the market today have spotty service histories or other issues.

It seems like a few years ago there were many nice 328 being offered in the US. Today, not so much.

Still in a turnmoil due to the recent spike in prices...
I would say 65 to 75 k euros for nice cars, 80 to 90 for super nice ones?

That's very different! I have never seen a green interior before and I've been to a lot of shows in the US. I also have quite a few leather swatches or samples and again haven't seen that color before. I'm sure it raises a lot of eyebrows just as my green exterior does.

A few details make me think it could well be non-factory original, besides the leather color being unique and not in the factory proposed colors:

    - the vertical part of the dashboard in front of the passenger has a curious "ledge" at the bottom, just above the fuse box cover;
    - the short vertical part at the bottom of the rear window is still in fabric, whereas the horizontal part of the "parcel shelf" is in leather: on factory-made "full leather" interiors, both parts are in leather...

The rising prices do create both good and bad. Sure, the idea that I bought something that I can make $30k to $50k is nice, but it does create a conundrum. I didn't buy the car as an investment, I bought it to drive it and enjoy. The talk of my qv becoming a 100k car takes from this as the financial side of me pops up and possibly makes me drive it less. Then, if I do sell, it is kind of a one way door...no more 308 unless I reinvest at the same prices I sold. Since that seems pointless, my only options are to find other models that I can substitute which I would assume would be 348-430 depending on the timing, or walk away completely.

If the market stayed as it is now or, as it was a year ago, it eliminates the guilt and allows me to simply enjoy it, and possibly get another one for the fun of it. As of now, I am going to try and ignore the market and do as I originally intend, make my 40k mile car a 100k mile car. :)

Almost at 81,000 now and its starting to give me pause on driving it for fear of other drivers and replacement costs.

Then I get behind the wheel and remember why I bought it.....to drive....
