That paint job has knocked 10k off the price. And another 5k for the stripes on the bonnet. Shocking colour combo with the very nice interior, a nice blu sera or medio or black paint would have made all the difference.

Looks like a clean car; too bad about the color.

Not to mention the FOUR crossed Pinin and Ferrari flags on the car. Three in the interior and one on the trunk.

Is this the car that was auctioned off in Georgia this year? If it is, I don't remember the gaudy "custom" add on touches. Tacking on 20K for the pin striping and tuneup is a little high even by Ferrari standards.

    How "interchangeable" are the interiors (seats/console/rear seat/ etc) between the 365 & 400, 412's ?

I would love this interior in my 365 ! (dark blue ext.) Anyone know who "specializes" in 365/400 interiors?...recovering and the like.

    Thanks,

    Jack

I think there's only 1 auto 400i in this color combo.

I think a series II 400i interior would look sort of silly in a 365--but it likely can be done--all the mounts should be the same.

But if your interior is black on your dark blue car-I'd keep it like that.

A black interior would be a better choice for that colour. Or he should have just gone the whole way and went old school citrus yellow. But it's unique and someone will probably fall in love it.

Yeah...there are a few colors that just do not belong with tan interiors--yellow being one, silver being one of the others.

So what was the original color of this car? Was it an original yellow car?

    Good day All,

    Now On Ebay...

Ferrari Other Two Door Coupe | eBay

Within the ad it lists the VIN as:

I have to ask... why the secrecy about the VIN/Chassis Number?

    Cheers,

    No doubt that is #51697
It has the same "Ferrari" badge in place of the normal "400i" one, on the rear panel
It had already around 70000miles a few years ago...

This automobile has just been delivered to a New York City taxi fleet owner, intended to match the color of his cabs.

NYC Hack Bureau medallion number on request.

that's a yoke, son, and it ain't giallo fly

As Vizsla writes: what do I know? I drive blue Ferraris

Owned in PA by one of the early "Ferrarilist" email list guys during the early 2000's, then offered by a dealer in SC and then owned by a gentleman in South Carolina, who bought it for $26K in March, 2009 when the car had 68,000 miles on it. I spoke with him on the phone when he called me after buying it for any tips about owning and maintaining 400i cars.

Auctioned by the gentleman's estate in September, 2013 through J.R. Dixon Auctions in Sumter, SC.

As noted, the earlier mileage reports were 63,000 in 2003, 65,000 in 2004 and then 68,000 in 2013.

    A couple things don't feel right here…

The mileage shown in one of the pix on the Craigslist listing reads 25321 km's, not the reported 63K on earlier sales.
The fourth digit on the chassis # is stated as being 'G' in the ebay ad which was assigned to either a 308 2-valve carbureted U.S.A. / Japan car or an F40 European car…that can't be.

As for the mileage, it is pretty obvious that the speedometer unit has been replaced as the earlier mileage reports were from 3 separate sources.

Yes, the VIN is wrong, possibly a typo but an automatic 400i should begin with ZFFEB06B, and after that it would have 4 zeroes and then a 5 digit VIN.

Abstract from the last bill : "CALIBRATE FUEL INJECTION BEST AS POSSIBLE". They obviously had a tough time trying to fix the rough sound mentioned earlier in this thread.

Just wondering what is the actual colour of this car (there is a blue-tint all other the photos).

When I saw this car during its time in Kansas City it was very rough with lots of "extras." It did not have any blue tint and appeared to be the standard Ferrari Giallo.
