The three blinks is for lane changes. If you press the front, I think it is for regular signal? Can't remember which...

You have to be quick (from owner manual):

    Turn indicators

Quickly press the left indicator or right indicator button C on the
steering wheel to switch on the relevant turn indicator.
The relative warning light on the instrument panel
    comes on.
The turn indicator goes off when the steering wheel is realigned.

Holding down one of the two C buttons (for more than
0.3 seconds) temporarily switches on the relevant turn indicator: it
is switched off after 3 flashes (“lane change” function).

I'm practicing with a stopwatch now so I will be ready...

I knew i should have paid more attention in school :) I will try a quickly press, which i assume is even faster than .3 seconds . Not sure if i can go that fast on a signal indicator

On the carwash mode, it's confusing and seems needlessly complex...I just put it in neutral and leave the engine running. The carwash I normally use prefers that I drive/ride it thru which I'm fine with. The turn signals seem counter intuitive at first, but memory muscle kicks in eventually!

Great job everyone it works ! Keep your speed to about .189 seconds and you will be fine :)

Does the car have in trip mode somewhere MPG ? Or does Ferrari not care about MPG :)

As I am reading some of the comments in this thread regarding the car wash mode I am thinking "why?" Why car wash mode? In other words when I go to the car wash I want to leave the car on so that it drives out without having to turn it on...However now I am wondering maybe it is not wise to drive the car through a water soaking?? Is that the reason? In other words one should avoid the chance of introducing water into the engine, esp w these turbo cars?

Those car wash establishments requesting the engine be turned off fall into several categories. Texas requires an unattended vehicle not be running, for safety reasons. Some car washes want to reduce gaseous emissions in the facility for worker health reasons. Others are concerned about new cars that auto lock when the engine is running and the door is closed. But my extensive car wash chat research did not expose any issues with engine concerns. Apparently one can even drive a Speciale Aperta press car thru a car wash with the engine running, as well as with the roof open.

    Hmmmm. 0.189 seconds. Thanks!

Mitchell, is that right between "one M" and "one Mi" on the "one Mississippi, two Mississippi" vocal stopwatch scale?

Also, as a part of My 12 month California T odyssey, please do not mistake my recently acquired car wash knowledge to mean my upcoming Argento Nurburgring paint job will ever be subjected to an automatic car wash. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Be still my beating heart, i will not now allow ANYONE to wash the car. I just found scratches in the deck lid from sand in the microfiber. Microfiber must have fallen from his hand, and he kept on using it.

Also many of you who are getting full front bra, I was told to NOT use pressure on it, do not wax it but with quick detailer.

This car takes up alot of my day :) I think i will go to the gas station now :)

to be clear it was not the california with the little abrasive scratches but the SLK, thank goodness.

I went with SolarTech on the bra, with is purportedly better than excel or 3m, and i went with PhotoSinc for the windows and windshield

Good news that the Cali was not scratched already. The first cut is the deepest.

I doubt the turbos make any difference...I would take my Spider thru pretty much weekly...and it has the big vent openings in cover on top of engine which presumably take in alot of water...but no issues. I guess the gas emissions point that Udaverea makes plenty of sense. Having said that, I like the idea of keeping it running thru the wash.

We have a detailer that washes all of our cars each week, even does it at the office when we are not traveling. Will likely have them care for the Cali T also. But I will want to do it at least once in a while, just to show give it the affection it deserves...

Mine sits literally yards from the coastline and it gets coated in that grimy salt film...when I get in it after a few days and have to turn the wipers on to the see thru the haze I have this overwhelming need to get it to a wash asap! Then a good detail 1-2 times/year. Gotta say, while I'm not trying to win a concours, the last metallic F car I had (in Ferro) never showed any swirl marks (at least to my casual inspection eye) after detailing...though I previously had a non-metallic Mugello that had a tougher time hiding imperfections.

That makes for more urgent washing, good to be near the coast other than salt film issues. I am rather far from the any oceans, bays or gulfs. But that would make for a fine road trip!
