has anybody got "CARBON FIBER FLOOR PLATES" on their Speciale? I have them on my current build but having second thoughts... should I get them or not? my worries are:

    1) slippery surface

    2) easy to scratch

    3) might look strange

google is not returning a whole lot of results for "CARBON FIBER FLOOR PLATES" + Speciale and so I am worried I am getting myself into unchartered waters here...

I wouldnt do it. It will be slippery. If you dont want the metal showing then alcantara might be a good option. Always liked the interior with the alcantara carpets

The Speciale A has carbon fibre floor plates. The same plates are now listed as an option for the Speciale coupe as well. They have the same parts numbers and through spare parts cost about $11k for the 2 floor plates and the passenger side foot rest.
There are pictures in the Speciale A thread in this forum.

Note, these are different to the floor mats which go on top of the floor plates.

I saw them in a Speciale A at FOBH and thought they looked amazing. I wondered how they'd hold up against scuffing. If you'd have to cover them with floor mats, then what's the point?

how do u clean that w/o scuffing the clear coat? then you can't buff out the scuffs w those studs...seems kinda impractical?

The stock aluminum floor plate simulates a bare bones track purposed built racing car better IMHO.

The CF option is nice but that appeal would be more appropriate on a car that has a true carbon tub chassis of modern cars like the LaF, McLarens, ..etc.
