If you plan on keeping the car long term or just dont care about resale value; go for it.

    Very unique.

If you want a large negative return on your cash, sure why not.

Pick a color because you like it, not because you think one color may be worth more in the future.

because a late model porsche is going to "appreciate" the minute it leaves the dealer... head hits wall hard...

OP buy what you like.. it's OK, no really it's OK, you know why? because it's your money to buy what YOU like...

Sorry if anyone took offens to my post. I should have just stated do what makes you happy as life is to short. Choice of car and color is a personal choice. Thus I appologize for my origional post.

As to the question to me, i have gotten great value out of each of my cars. value has a different meaning to different people.

I see nothing wrong with negative feedback/criticism, as long as it is delivered in a manner that is constructive and does not get petty or personal. IMO people on this list are smart enough to weigh various pieces of advice according to their goals/prefs, and the make a decision.

Jaz - you thinking of going with the Lime Gold Metallic on the Configurator, or perhaps Paint to Sample? Good luck w/ the GTS purchase...T

I used to have a neighbor with a boxster this color. Personally I hate it, but if you don't then go for it. That's what makes the world go round.

It's on the configurator as a optional color - I think this color suites warmer climates plus I like bold colors
Much rather have a color that invokes reaction than the normal run of the mill stuff just IMO

Jaz, as others have stated, get what you want and what makes you happy. That is why there is a variety of choices, good luck and I am sure you will be very happy.

I'm with you on bold colors; my 911 is Guards Red.

If you like bold colors, dare I suggest Speed Yellow? :) It'll save you 3K to put towards other goodies like, ventilated seats, which should come in nice & handy in steamy Orlando.

Enjoy the buying process; the only thing more fun is getting behind the wheel...T

That color looks great. I also think it is a warm/tropical climate color. Although it would look good blasting across Iceland wouldn't it?

I like unusual colors on 911s (I've had viper green, blutrot, etc.) I just don't care for this particular color. If it had more green it would be better, I think. But get the color that pleases you, regardless of others' opinions. You're the one who's going to be enjoying it!

I was playing with that color on a Boxster/Cayman in the Porsche configurator, and I like it more than most people do.

But ultimately it either clicks for you or not. It will always be a pretty rare color due to the upcharge and its being off the beaten path, so you don't need 10,000 potential buyers to like it in order to sell. If you're smitten with it, I'd go with it. Every car on the road these days seems to be black, silver or white...
