Thank you, finding these 3 cars were very hard.

1)87 V8 Vantage X Pack only 40 LHD were made, I had to buy a RHD which was originally Blue, low miles and Magnolia interior in order to make it to "what I would of ordered when new if I had the chance".

    2) Vanquish S, wanted 06 + and all I could find were 05 which are in Black, Red, Silver or Grey. Until I found mine which was locally. On mobile.de all dark colours and dark interior, I like my AM's to have parchment, beige, magnolia, off white etc. Preferably Blue

    3) V8 Vantage Supercharged, most I could find was RHD and found my car in Belgium. Only 288 V550's made and less than half the number were LHD.

At the time V550 was faster than a Lamborghini Diablo in 1994. Twin Supercharged and 550hp, its a wolf in sheeps clothing..infact I still think it could outpace my Vanquish S.

Vanquish80: The stick shift conversion cars bring a significant price premium in the U.S. Possibly because there are fewer of them here and the cost of the conversion is more expensive due to the distance from AMWS, or the expense of having the factory people come here to do the work.

Interesting - here in Germany is a 06 US spec Vanquish stick
Shift conversion for sale and the price has just dropped from 119k to 112k EUROS.
Nobody cares about a stick shift and US specs here...

I'll check the US prices later, not sure if there are stick shifts for sale currently.

The distance is not too bad, put it on a container on a vessel.

$2,000 for 22 foot container one way.

MM355: We ship cars back and forth to Europe all the time. If you live in the central part of the U.S., or on the west coast, the costs of getting the car to an atlantic port, or shipping all the way from Los Angeles add quite a bit to the total cost of getting a car to the UK or Europe. Sometimes we find that shipping by air is very little more expensive.

What is your basis for such claim? This is not factual at all. Anyone who knows about the conversions knows NONE of the 20+ conversions on US cars were performed at NP AMWS. Aston sent two techs to perform the job to anyone who wanted to buy it - no overseas shipping was ever involved from US to England.

Also despite hingher asking prices trying to push a percieved premium...there is NO evidence that there is one.

Sherrillt: You should speak with Tom Papadopolos at Auto Sport Designs. He can give you the most accurate assessment of the values of the conversion cars. This forum has documented the shipment of cars from the States and Canada to the UK for conversions. My car was converted by Auto Sport. There is no need to get into an argument about this, some owners like the stick shift and some like the paddles.

No idea what their cars sell for but their asking prices seem to be somewhat optimistic, usually 30% higher than the rest of the market.

there may be a premium for manuals but I can tell you this.2 weekends ago I drove the 2002 of my friend on Rt7 in CT + hiway. The shift is as smooth as silk. A total pleasure. No jerking, no lags, no kicks.
The car was purchased by him after the prior owner had a total clutch / sensor disaster. He got it to the right people to repair and the result is stunning. The car is also driven fairly often and with spirit.

That car is a testament to how much BS is spread about the early cars. Yes they need some corrections, but once done they are great.

I would NOT take a manual aston over that for a premium.

That tells me that may be some cars may have come out of the factory with fabrication issues (mine had one), or the owners are cheap when servicing and dont get the clutch periodicaly adjusted or simplytheir tech does not have the skills.

The vanquish gearshift tuned right and with the S parts is just fine.
May be that shifting system is not good enough ofn the track, but if you are a track rat, the Aston should be the car to drive there anyhow.

This car is really a long trip runner even on secondary roads.

Aston are just like any exotics. If you are not on top of them with the right people, they wont givce you what you need.

The problem is that i see too many car that have not been maintained properly and tinkered with or driven at all and on a Vanquish, like any thouroughbreads, it is the kiss of death.

Nice pics, never seen a roof mounted antenna like that, are prices still declining on these cars? It seems like their on the market forever, then the price gets reduced, I'm seeing standard cars in the 60k range and an S about a 20k premium.

My Dad's 05 S. He's had it for several years now and put over 10k miles on it. It's been a rock solid car with no issues. A truly spectacular car...

The roof antenna appeared for the 2006 model-year (with the new dashboard) ;)

About prices, on the contrary, they are firming up a little bit. :)

This 2006 Vanquish S with low mileage at 135k $ : Aston Martin Vanquish 2dr Coupe | eBay

In general, it is pretty hard to find a decent Vanquish S for less than 100k $ (at this price, it would be a 2005 model-year with old dash).
And a good standard Vanquish is more around 70k $ minimum... until 90k $ for late ones (2003/2004) with low mileage.

For sure prices will keep on climbing over the next years, values have bottomed and can only go up. :)

Vanquish priced over the $100k range might be a tough sell as their competing with the DBS which are approaching this price point

I believe the Vanquish was the last car built at Newport Pagnell, for what that's worth.

Vanquishs over $100k are usually S models that have documented histories and regular services. If you look at the market they tend to move faster than the low priced ones that may have hidden issues and huge repair costs associated to them.
The Vanquish as the last NP handmade car is a collector and has a big place in AM history which the DBS, as great as it is, does not have.

Vanquish S and DBS are incomparable... ! ;)

Vanquish S is a complete myth apart... much rarer, rawer, more powerful, faster, more thrilling to drive, the last of Newport Pagnell as Pranucci mentioned, unique design.... and unique engine sound. :)

DBS is a good GT car but it looks like a DB9 which looks like a Virage which looks like a Vanquish 2013/2015... Gaydon cars all look like the same.

In the UK, late '07 Vanquish S are even more expensive than DBS Ultimate Edition (for the same mileage), and are as expensive as the cheapest Vanquish 2013 (following me on that ? :D )

And I'm not even talking about Vanquish S Ultimate Edition... there was one for sale at the price of new...
