Nothing against M car drivers in general (I've owned an M Roadster and an M5) but last week it was a modified M5 and now the M3. These guys also had something to prove. While I don't mind enthusiasm for the car, when they get on your bumper like it's a NASCAR race or recklessly thread through traffic to get next to you, I wish they'd exercise their enthusiasm in another way....

Uh oh... Rubbin's racin' Ricky Bobby!!! Yikes ! I've had that happen too it's pretty scary you have no idea when or if the driver is going to loose control or forget they are driving on public roads with other folks sharing space.

Too funny. How does it work if you daily drive a modified M3 (cuz there is no other way) and weekend an F Car?

Couldn't agree more about Priuses! I despise them and they're everywhere here in LA. It seems to be specifically a Prius thing as drivers of other ECO friendly cars don't appear to be this way...

As for annoying: seems like Nissan/Infiniti drivers always wanna race.

Hahaha...430 Spider for the weekends and an E93 M3 Cabriolet daily driver here...lol.

    Come on! Lets race!

I find Maclaren drivers to be the most annoying...especially in F1.

We have a lot more in common with those squidly WRX owners than we do with the solid citizen driving his ex-Buick rental car at 54 mph in the fast lane. In addition to our F-car, we have a 997.1, a C5, and a Citroen 2CV--- guess which one gets the smiles and thumbs-up? Yep, the non-threatening 2CV--- it's like a puppy on wheels (and about as fast). Kids love the inconspicuous yellow C5 Z06 because it's attainable. The 997 and 430 elicit more complex responses- part admiration and part jealousy. But, they're all fun.

Careful, guys. There are Prius owners on f-chat. Maybe it was a statement car ten years ago, but not anymore. They're logical appliances now. Your living with old prejudices IMO. If I needed a super-reliable car for city driving and I didn't have a big budget, a Prius would make a lot of sense. Not everyone needs to publicly declare their status with a set of wheels

Prius drivers seem to purposely drive slow in the left most (aka Fast) lane just to deliberately want to piss people off it seems.

My 360 is the only car I have ever driven and owned that all cars here in Washington State do not try to race me. They all (so far) just pull along side to check out my car, they give me the thumbs up, they take photos and videos and just try to hang with me. I think they simply respect the car.

Its the dang guys that drives pick up trucks that tries to engage me. And of course once we get on an open road I leave them way behind.

When I had my BMW M6, its usually the WRX guys that always wants to race on the streets as they know they dont stand a chance on the freeway or open roads.

The way to best annoy any potential race is to simply let them go.

I feel that I have WAY too much to loose getting involved.

I've only had one car that really worried me in the Scud...that was a pimped-out Chrysler 300 tailgating and lane-changing for pictures outside Oklahoma City.

I use to drive an STi and then an M3. True story. You can probably already tell I'm immature....in the funniest and safest way possible of course : P

I get a lot of attention from bikes and truckers...a lot of cars obviously.

I rev my motor at the request of people a lot. It's a smile maker.

    Freezing rain today. Nooooooooo!!!!

I had an "instructor" in a 750 and some guy in an M5 V10 here locally driving like insane people on a local BMWCCA rally. Some people called the state police on the whole group to give you an idea. The one guy claimed to be a local instructor, the other guy was a drag racer. This was suppose to be a scenic tour...LOL.

There is a time to be a hoonigan on public streets, and it is not when there are other cars or people present. So stupid.

Careful Kevin, I just bought a 15 STi for my winter DD and bone stock it feels like it will give my 360 a run! Other than the ricer-boy wing I hate it's a ball to drive, can't wait to start some suspension mods to track her next summer!

That reminds me that this one guy in an M3 went along with us (a group of Astons, Lambos, and Ferraris) for a brisk mountain drive a couple of years back. This idiot started passing cars 5 at a time when he couldn't see around the upcoming curve or hill. Needless to say, someone called the police and a cop pulled the entire group over (like 20 cars!) to give us a good dressing down. I don't that moron was ever invited to one of these drives again.

Right on. I get annoyed when someone slows down beside me and revs their engine trying to bait me into racing.

    Completely ignoring them works wonders.

But its mostly young kids in whatever they happen to be driving that day.
