Another beautiful SV. http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af153/Gregory_058/lamborghini-miura-sv-11_zps189b3b5f.jpg
STUNNING!!! The grey slats look great contrasting with the blue. Vitaloni (?) mirrors mounted in just the right spot too. Funny how the interior looks a bit weird in that light from that angle.
Wrong spark plugs lead to fire. Really? https://autos.yahoo.com/news/1-5-million-lamborghini-goes-flames-over-spark-210037712.html
The P400S has the same body as the P400, so the rear arches are not the wide-shouldered items on the SV. What likely confused you is the fact that this car is wearing SV (wider) rear wheels.
Very interesting to read the script below the bottom pic : "400 GT"... knowing this model was never a model in the official catalog... The 1st french part Swizterland dealer was "Garage Du Quai du Mont Blanc" in Geneva, it started in 1965 to end in July 1967. The 2nd one was Grand Garage des Nations in Genevra, it started around november 1967. So, this ad should be dated in that gap, between august to october 1967.
That's indeed very interesting. BTW, this Ad is probably a run-on item used beyond actual production dates.
1021 was delivered to Foitek. I wrote them when I first got the car and asked them about the car, etc. and also asked them for a dealer sticker like they would have put on their cars back in the era. They were very kind and gave me the information they had on the car and sent me a sticker. Still have it safely stored. Next time I'm in CH, I'm going to make a point of swinging by their shop.

When one young man took delivery of his brand new RHD yellow SV in 1972 his final instructions were "if you see flames coming from the engine, press the clutch and the throttle together".....somewhat disconcerting but the car in question is alive and well today.
"Mr Hunt's son" if that was the driver at the time was a complete idiot, a parvenu who didn't deserve to drive that car, watching the burning of the car video, I don't see him trying to extinguish the fire, he should have been over there right from the start and try with everything at disposal even with his shirt on his back!
On the other hand, as the fire department will tell you, once a car fire is underway, its advisable to stand back and let it burn. Keeping it in perspective, a car, no car, is worth the risk of injury or death.
I don't think I exaggerated at all about what I said earlier, videos on youtube say it all, it was no interest at all from anyone(were other "car lovers" there) to extinguish the fire right at the start, plus the fuel tank is in front and the bonnet wasn't even raised to try taking the fire out. I find this much more outraging, unlike for example: changing the original dashboard material with non original spec material.
SVJ 4892, likely my favorite Miura, has been consigned to RM Arizona. I saw it in 2009 when it was still in California and it was incredible. It will be interesting to see what it goes for this time. 1971 Lamborghini Miura SVJ | Arizona 2015 | RM AUCTIONS
here is an independent point of view about #4892 => http://www.miura-svj.com/forms/description_lamborghini_miura.php?lang=en I won't say it is neutral, just independent from any other parties...
Well, since it is a modified SV, and not an SVJ... I would expect the price to be lower than an unmolested SV. We'll see what the auction brings!
