Terrific color, great shot (though the models are grandmothers now).

This Daytona cover car looks like 11795 which was the prototype built by Pininfarina for their display at the 1968 Paris Auto Show.

Probably restored with different stitching for the solid spokes wheel.
The first wheel here is on a low mile original car and it has the MOMO stamped on the base of the middle spoke. However the second wheel looks restored by a comparison of the stitching...

    Hi Charles.
I am not sure that is an original Daytona wheel. The rim looks too think and the diameter too small. It may just be how the photo has come out.
Here is a photo of my Daytona wheel before being restored

Or even a 365 GTC/4 one with a Daytona horn and cover. [ see pic]
This would not be surprising, what you can't see on the photo of my car is, that two of the three spokes had cracked where the spoke meets the rim, I was already nervous about the drive home when I first picked up the car made much worse when I realized how bad the steering wheel was !!

Hi Grant nice inside view of your Daytona and I see no holes in the steering wheel spokes either!
The MOMO wheel was on a time capsule 1973 Canadian delivery Daytona that I don't think had been monkeyed with. If you look in the earlier picture (post #714) the odometer mileage shows as 2,210 miles.

The Daytona featured on the Prancing Horse Magazine issue #33 I have noted as Marrone and the serial number was *14159*. A much later Daytona *16947* came from the factory with the painted silver nose treatment. However it has since been removed.

Ed I don't sew!!! I just meant it was a single row and not a double row like the steering wheel that had been restored in the post #714 second picture.
