'91 isn't a pivotal year, so it makes a nice story but I wouldn't say it's more valuable as a result.
The fact it's black might make it more popular.
    What's the serial number?

I think it gives it a nice story, and therefore an edge over another equivalent car, but no more value in my opinion. Between two great TR, if one is a Geneva Autoshow car, I'd pick this one over the other just for the fun story, but I wouldn't pay more for it.

It seems to be Nero Metallico, not plain black, isn't it?

Judging from the first picture it looks like plain black with a bunch of dust on it.
Check out the finger tip trails drug across the rear deck.

My opinion is that, except the first mono Specchio shown in 1984 Paris motorshow (? Am I right ?) no One could pretend more value cause it was a show car.

I've been attending all Geneva Autoshows of the 90's as young car enthusiast, and my parents had an early camcorder, which I always made sure to take along.

So... I searched through my files (I digitized all these tapes a while back) and I found the 1991 show, and I also found the Ferrari booth. Well, it's not this car unless they can prove it's been repainted, but then the value goes down...

I also checked the Pininfarina booth (yes I have it all!) and they did not have a TR there, it was a yellow GM Chronos project.

Isn't Fchat amazing? there are members' eyes everywhere on the planet AND in any past decades... :)

Here is the 1991 Geneva Autoshow TR.
