My long awaited 2015 FF has finally arrived yesterday at the dealership. They are nice enough to send me a few pictures while it was being PDI-ed. I will likely take delivery maybe Wednesday or so. fix'd & Black on black, long live the King. And screw Apple, they werent even born in a garage, and if they were, the walls were black. Also yeah, u got the 918, the Speciale is not needed anymore. FF&F12, now it's F the whole year for u (middle finger up). why not a LaFerrari ?
I must say that is a dream car collection !!!!! I have an FF and my wife a 911 turbo S our dream would be a 918, tell us about driving the 918, specially compared to F12 and others in your garage
Honestly, the 918 drives and feels just like the Speciale, but just a lot more powerful and faster. Whatever the Speciale can do, the 918 does it better. At legal speed, the Speciale feels like a caged animal, it doesn't not like to be restrained at all, but the 918 gives me the impression that it doesn't mind putting along at crawling speed. Both are 'raw', fills the cabin with the right noises (when the 918 engine is running), sharp steering and lightning fast throttle responds. The Speciale actually is a bit more comfortable than the 918 believe it or not, the seat on the 918 is a fixed back bucket but a tad too upright for my taste for street driving. The F12, boy what a car, what a engine. It gives me 90% of the thrill of the 918 at less than half the cost. AS comfortable as any GT car, but as fast as any sports car, and with the big hatch, more than good enough cargo room. With enough traction on the rear tire, it accelerate almost as hard as the 918.
I much prefer to be Darth Vader than regular stormtroopers I am still waiting for Ferrari to say yes, they haven't gave me a outright no, so at least I still have hope.
The FF is one special car. I changed my opinion 100% on them. I simply adore it now. It is so much fun to drive that car around and to toss it around corners like a mid engined 458. Enjoy! That 918 is gorgeous too!
your new FF is very nice looking never been a fan of the FF looks but yours looks great with the interior having just the right amount of pop with the yellow... the other cars looks pretty good also...
The PIP3 is a last minute addition, didn't spec that initially, but after thinking for a while I decided to add them as I thought the stitching alone would be too little, thank god they turn out great.
Love the FF. Your interior in particular looks just awesome. Congrats and enjoy them all in good health
Very interesting comparison of the Speciale and the 918. This explains why the Speciale is not staying. i assume you meant FF, not F12. But my dealer informs me that most of their FF customers also have F12s. The V12 is addictive.
Gotta agree with you there Noblesse! FF is unbelievably addictive. Powerful and agile! But now I'm even looking at adding a F12! Ack! May have to drop the spider to make room! Nah. SV
918, what a beauty!!!!!! If you don't mind me asking, how much over msrp are they re-selling your Spec up in Canada?
Actually no, I meant to write about the F12. it really is one heck of a sports car. Right now I have factory winter tires on the car and the traction is quite unbelievable. Matching rubber to temperature is the key to enjoyment. But the FF is really no slouch, it is again 90% of the F12 I would say, but with major advantage on cargo capacity and passenger capacity. It is in a class of no peers for the capability. Bentley equals it on roominess, but gives up a lot in the performance department, 911 Turbo S equals it in the performance yet gives up a lot on roominess. After experiencing the Ferrari V12, there is no going back to their V8s. Night and day. Addictive is not even close enough to be the right description. For most people, the Speciale is a keeper, it is one heck of a car, just that in my case I have something else that trumps it. Which is quite a feat to better that car.
My old one was 2013, it didn't have the glass roof, 2014 cars can have the glass roof but no Apple CarPlay, 2015 cars have the CarPlay and the glass roof. But other than CarPlay, 15s and 14s are the same, no difference. I added front camera for the benefits of my wife, she is not quite used to a long front hood, even with parking sensors, as those sensors are quite 'buggy', sometimes they go off for no reasons at all.
That will be up to the dealer, as far as I am concerned, I didn't really lose any money after driving it for 2000km since June. I know I will be leaving some money on the table, but I am not going to squeeze the last dime out of them, I think of that as good will from me and I expect the same good will in the future from them and we cultivate a good relationship for my future benefits. They sell around 50 brand new Ferraris a year, and I bought 3 the last 6 months and 1 more coming in about 4 months.
Thanks, the F12 I have now is the one from Ferrari Ontario, I assumed you had a look at it before. It has 90% of what I want, but the most important part, colour, is what I was looking for, black on black with yellow stitching, just missing the PIP3 piping, yellow seatbelts and front camera.
Nice summary, the glass roof would be a nice addition for sure but the way the seating position is for the FF I have a feeling that it would be less useful for the driver and more for the passengers. Yes I remember seeing your F12 when taking my FF in for service. Stunning car - nice package of options. I think the FF and F12 look menacing in black!
