What's the location? I just got in from New Orleans and am over by the Marathon Oil building on San Felipe.

Were you there? Bummer I didn't get to meet you. Decent crowd but I wish there were more F cars. I heard C&C was back on today. Anyone go there?

I love that paint, I saw it up there. If he needs suggestions on keeping the paint in good condition have him talk to me. I'll give him some ideas for products he can use since its a very hard paint to keep in good condition.

It took him nearly 8 months to get the car because the first spec was done incorrectly so he had to wait for another build. What all is entailed with maintaining paint like that?

You have to always be on top of it, it's kind of a love hate relationship. There is no polishing that can be done since it will leave it some what glossy. So if there are any swirls installed while washing or drying there is no getting them out. You have to be extremely careful claying. Only certain waxes, sealants, and coatings can be applied. If the water is not blown out of cracks and water drips down the paint and stains it, there is very little that can be done to remove water spotting. It's going to be a part time job keeping the paint looking 100% but it can be done and there are products to make his life easier. PM me or have him give me a shout tomorrow afternoon, I'll give him some product knowledge.

I do know that he is handwashing and read up a lot on the BMW forums, but given that the vehicle is a lease he doesn't have the inclination to obsess over it other than doing the basic to intermediate level care.
