I finally took delivery of my new GT3! The car arrived a month early and I am very happy with the build. I purchased the GT3 from Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro North Carolina. My wife and I drove down from VA to NC in our Rover and we each drove back, I drove the GT3! Great opportunity to get some break in miles behind me on the highway. I previously owned a F430 and a 458 Italia. I wanted to give the Ferraris a break for awhile and the new GT3 just impressed me soo much since its launch in 2014. When the stop sale occurred and when we all knew that engines were being replaced I took a few steps back to let the issues get resolved. I was glad to see the 2015 models were all situated and I was fortunate enough to get an allocation. Though I miss Ferrari ownership I am very pleased with my new GT3! I have only logged 410 miles so far and I am breaking the car in so I am unable to give a full impression but so far I am impressed with what Porsche has done with this car, they certainly did their homework on this 991 GT3. This is my 4th Porsche by the way. My previous Porsches were a 993, Boxster S, 993 Turbo, 997 Turbo. The GT3 is by far the most impressive, how far the 911 variants have come. Some pics attached. I installed the clear corner led lenses and the Sharkwerks bypass exhaust at delivery which sounds really proper on this car.

^^ Nice! …I think we're up to about 5 or 6 white 3's now around here. (mine has been delayed from mid Jan to early Feb)

Gilly, did you get LWB seats?

I went with the sofa seats...it's going to be a combo DD and track car and I have some long rides to work....The deal breaker on the LWB's is no rake adjustment....also, my 458 has the race seats and while they are not uncomfortable I just couldn't see using them on a daily basis.....mine was moderately optioned and came to 141+....basically the seats, lift and some other small stuff....

Special ordered the RR for my wife's 50th - this is the 6th one in a row in 20 years so you can say she is a RR aficionado - built for us in the UK with a few special features, and metallic black roof. Plus it has a very special VIN number: 66666!

As soon as that was accomplished I thought: "I think I need to console myself with a 991 GT3"

We love the RR's too. My wife drives the 2014 White/Black Supercharged and my daily driver is a 2007 Range Rover HSE I have had since new in 07', runs like a charm with 125,000 on the clock. Guess what color the 07 is….. WHITE!. I have had some other more exciting daily drivers mixed in the stable over the years (BMW F10 M5 White) but the 07 RR keeps hanging in there and is currently my daily driver, again

Wy wife wanted the 22" style and I put the 21's on my daily driver :)

It is insane to pay $365 for a painted key but I had to have it. At least you get 2 keys!!!
