Can you all post photos of your license plate frames that you have on your Ferrari or tell us what they say?

Do members keep their "Ferrari of Houston" or "Algar" plate frames on their cars or do you ditch the dealer plate frames or put up in your garage?

I am looking for a Gaston Andrey or Ferrari of New England plate frame to go on my F355 because my car was originally delivered there.

I have not seen one out there but am hopeful of finding one.

I ditched mine as soon as the car arrived on the truck. None of my cars have any sort of dealer ID on them. I've only ever had one vanity plate. That was a MD "Lusso" when I had one.

I also ditch mine right away and put a simple/quality black metal frame on. I don't like giving free advertising to anyone.

Hello Robb - I didn't put it on my 308GTB but I did hang it on my garage wall. Looks like a perfect match for you car. Merry Christmas! PM me and I'll send it to you.

I drive in the metro-Atlanta area where thousands of people see my car each week, So, I will only display dealer info if they pay me. Since they have all refused my proposal so far, I have them remove it before I drive off the lot.

I don't disagree. That's why I'd like the frame for my former local Ferrari dealer, Ferrari of Los Gatos. That was the car dealer I rode my bike to as a teenager to oogle cars. It is a local dealer frame and it doesn't offer advertising to anyone. My previous car was purchased there originally so that would have been really cool. My current car was not, but still I'd put one on if I had one.

I think these are old school, but cool.

My 360 was delivered by Ferrari of Houston and didn't have plate surrounds.

I removed the dealer frame and left it plain, but then it didn't look great so I bought a chrome one which looks maaaavelous.

On my 360, the frame says

    Corvettes for Breakfast
    Vipers for Lunch

    No kidding...

On older cars (like my 928) I like to get a dealer plate from the dealer that originally sold it… just kind of cool and nostalgic I guess.

On newer cars I will typically just leave it if it looks good… it will be nostalgic and cool one day… eventually.

My TR has a frame from Ferrari of Beverly Hills. It came with the car. My Mercedes Cosworth has a Euro frame from MB of Stuttgart (I picked it up from Ebay to match the front plate.) Kinda corny but its my 'relive the high school car I couldnt afford when I was a kid' thing.

On my 348, I had a plate holder that said "My other car is the Band Truck."

Tommy, your tag frame would get you a ticket of over $100 in Florida because it obscures the name of the state and decal information. Also it's a roll tide frame and you know how we feel about that in GATOR country.

My #22641 still has the original 'Ron Tonkin' frame.

I left it on, as the guy did almost as much for Ferrari in America as Mr. Chinetti, IMO.
Oldest Fcatory dealer franchise continuously in operation.

    Both now gone....RIP

I still remember, when I was continuously in operation....:D

I have to laugh about you guys saying you won't advertise for car dealers... I'm 52, when I was a little boy I remember my grandfather's new cars always had to go into the body shop right after he bought them... I remember asking once why a new car needed to be fixed and he told me basically the same thing you guys are saying... He would have the dealer remove the dealer logo/name - which in those days was riveted/bolted to the sheet metal - fill the holes and repaint the trunk.
As far as the license plate frames go, my gt4 came with the original Ramsey Ferrari of San Francisco frame which I cleaned up and re-installed on the car. I think it is too cool! I'll post a picture once I get home...

I've got an old FAF frame on my 308. I didn't get the car from them, but I did get my last 2 Ferraris there.

I've been debating picking up a frame from the dealer that inherited care of my Pontiac GTO after Pontiac shut down (even though the only thing I've gotten from them so far is a $250 ignition key): Schumacher

    That's where I got my 348.

I have one of their plates on my garage wall.

I remember the older cars that had the dealer tag riveted to the body. I don't think that would go over to good in this day.
