Anybody ever have a little anti freeze along the top lip of the rad (the side facing the spare tire) there are no leaks or puddles under the car. Just a little wet. Do these rads sweat or seep at all? Thanks

I had that just before I pulled it and had it cleaned and re-soldered. It's leaking and no they should not weep.

I had that on mine to ,bring the rad up to temp.and you will see a small pin hole with steam comming out mark it let it cool and solder it in the car very small job did mine 2years ago and no problem.make sure the water level is below you soldering point.

Great thanks for the reply. Is there any special solder I should be using? I appreciate the advice and help. I'd rather not have to pull the rad out if I don't need to.

    Yep

That happened to me about a year after I bought my 84. I had it pulled and rodded (i think twice) and "fixed". Few months later I started getting a green spray on my windshield through the hood vents. I had it removed and fixed a third time along that top edge.

That was 1998. Never leaked again.

If I don't sufficiently tighten my radiator bleed screw then there is a little seepage that accumulates along the top seam of the radiator.

rosin core solder should work but if the leak is through steel i usually use acid core solder - hardware store or plumbing supply. easy fix in the car if it's just a pinhole. jon s
