I'm know this has been discussed before but have an 2003 360 and have purchased and installed a set of Scud 19's with 235/35 front and 285/35 rear. Driving last Sunday and when got home noticed rubber was missing front RF tire. Noticed that fender lip has been pulled down. I know this is what cut tire, but my question is clearance with 235 on 8" wide fronts. I did notice something as some point in time has entered the wheel area and put a hole inside the wheel arch. Is it possible that this object bent the fender and then the tire grabbed and bent fender or is the clearance the reason for the bent fender. Threads I have read seem to say and confirm clearance is not the issue, but I hesitate to drive as the damage did not pinch or bend fender just the inside lip. Have put about 200-300 miles since installed with no issue. Was luck just not on my side that day? Thanks for you insight. Have attached before and after pics

Your car looks great, you caught the lip with your tire which pulled the center of the lip down I am sure you already know this. You will need to have the fender lips rolled. I had the same problem with my wheels. You must of caught the lip coming into or out of a driveway at an angle.

have the fenders rolled any you will be set.

    Love the wheels!

Thanks hangarsixco. Do you know if the fender lip just needs to be tucked up so the inside edge is not straight in or does the fender need to be rolled out? My thought is just tucking the lip up will work but not sure. Don't want to roll fender out. Don't think going to 225 is going to make any difference.

Yes, just the inner lip of the fender. When it's rolled it leaves a smooth edge in the worst case scenario the tire hits it will not grab or cut your tire. There is a special tool that's used, it's attached to the wheel hub with and extendable arm that has a roller on the fender side. Works great with no damage to the paint if done correctly.
