    I heard what sounded like a sonic boom over central FL (Gainesville area) this afternoon...any way to confirm that's what it was? FAA reports, etc.

    otherwise maybe someone's meth lab exploded.

    PS-I've heard other sonic booms before, and this sounded/felt exactly like one.

    perfectly clear blue sky today, no fireball...but also no vapor trail. so I'm not sure, although my initial thought was something military (the previous sonic booms I've heard were from McDonnell Douglas doing testing over St Louis/eastern Missouri, and this boom sounded exactly like those)
