Has anyone added cruise control to a 458? How much did the dealer charge? How does it look? Does it work good? Thank you

A friend has it and loves it. Specked it from the factory. Says he can't stay under 75 mph on the Interstate without it.

Cost to retrofit at the dealer was $1100 to $1200 two years ago.

I never use cc except on long trips. We do not take the 458 on such trips: not enough storage if wife goes along.

You should add if you are going to use your Ferrari as daily drive.
For me, using cruise control = wasting mileage

I will not spec cruise control on a true sports car unless it is a GT.

All my cars except my 458 have it and I never use it.

I have adaptive CC on my 991 C4S and it's really great in slow motorway traffic and I'd not bother with regular CC now. From now on I'd always spec adaptive if available. As above, I can't really see me using it on a 458 though.

I live out in the land of nothing, and I would like to have it, just because on long drives, 100 miles or more, it would be nice to just set it and cruise. I do agree in spirited driving, or in heavy populated areas, it wouldn't be of much use.

Never needed cc in the mountains. And I try to avoid the Interstates whenever possible. Cops like to hang out there. Much prefer the two lane roads with little traffic. More fun.

    Best.

Interesting... I did not have CC on my 458 and added it to my Speciale. Reason being in SoCal there are a lot of highway patrol with radar now. Going to and from places where I can legally go fast, I find myself speeding. To avoid a ticket.. I'll set the cruise and get me there in a better mood and then haul ass!

CC works great in my Speciale. In most countries with speed-limit it relieves the right foot enormously and acts astonishingly smooth...

Is the 458 the first Ferrari with Cruise Control aka Pit Speed?

Just added CC to my 458 Spider. Very nice addition when I have to cruise with care! About 2100$ on special!
