Rick- Very high odds your alarm siren needs replacing. Search for alarm siren for options like replacing the rechargeable batteries, using a GM siren instead, or just buying the OEM part. Easy replacement.

+1 replace the battery in the Alarm module.. or change it out if the circuit board is likely toast. As above.

Hi Rick, I have just rebuilt my Ferrari original alarm module. The circuit board was perfect just one of the batteries with a bad cell. I replaced both batteries with new Varta batteries (same as the original). I have before and after pictures. If you are interested I can let it go for $175. I'm also in Colorado. Do you belong to the FCA in Colorado? Have we met before?

Mine does this also. Out of interest I mentioned this to my F dealer and the service tech said the red light is supposed to stay on!
    Where are the batteries located?

Glen- You have to cut open the siren case. There are detailed threads on doing that.

Thanks. I might leave it. I suspect it will chirp every time I push the button. Hate the chirp.

John, quite possibly. Not too many Rosso Barchetta 360s around in Colorado. I have been a member of FCA. Need to renew in fact.
Not sure the board is bad. Could just be the batteries. I'll check it out and let you know, ok?
    Thanks!
    Rick

Isn't it supposed to chirp? Once for lock, twice for unlock?

Yup, sounds like Glen dislikes the chirp more than the continuous glare from the red LED. Seems like some countries' alarm kits do not chirp, but too lazy to look right now.

Yeh, ok tentatively, how's your car? Shouldn't take this long to replace a fuel pump and check the pressure?

Pretty much. The continuous red light tells me I am good to go. Plus I think you don't see it so much with RHD...

Absolutely not if it's functioning correctly. Batteries are soldering to the siren circuit board. Siren is located behind RHS luggage compartment panel (looking into compartment).
