Sounds about as good as you could have hoped for!

Is that 700hp at the wheels?

IIRC you were at 604hp at the wheels (~710hp at the crank assuming 15% transmission losses) the last time at 10 psi (0.7 bar).

700hp at the wheels would be insanity!

Any news as to when the article in Evo will see print?

First we have to get through the full track test, probably at Anglesea, and being England, that is very weather dependent and January is not a month you would choose. Personally, by the time we have the full test and it hits the newstands, it will be mid next year.

Indeed we do, but I really don't want to post here to open the floor to an endless critique and commentary. It will be in the book I am assembling of the restoration showing our tuning progress over the past three months.

    Awesome!

    : O

Man...gives an idea of the cost of racing.

Sounds like you actually increased the usable power - that is awesome! Must be a total monster!

I love it!! This tread has been the highlight of many days for me.. Thanks so much for sharing.

Do you happen to have the Michelotto silver Chassis paint info? I must have some mixed up for my next project. :)

Back to Mototechnique today as I was playing Santa and an interesting visit finalising a few outstanding details.

One thing which was particularly interesting and exciting is that as the paint has cured we are starting to get all the carbon wrinkle peeping through just as we were hoping, but being a full respray and with its past, never fully confident. The attached tries to show it and that is not orange peel or camera shake, the surface finish being perfect, it is just the carbon starting to grin.

Not easy to photograph but hopefully you get the idea. Interesting as immediately after paint it was totally flat.

Very pleased as it is occurring on all panels.

Dope. I had a cf spoiler painted by an excellent shop in IL; same effect on the paint.

We still have some work to do before we are ready for EVO so I imagine not until mid late February.

Sweet baby jesus. This car is just too good. I hope you've found some winter tires for the cold months until May-ish...they work much, much better in the cold than the R888s.

Mototechnique is one of the great shops. Lots of poseurs in our universe, but Kevin & Co. are the real deal, and lovely, unaffected blokes to work with. John.

I probably should have pointed out the ring of blisters on the inside.

My immediate thought but we have set it up according to Michelotto LM data sheet providing exact details direct from the horses mouth.

Might just be the age of the tire in combination with then being run relatively hard on the dyno. They've been standing for damn near 2 years.
