Everyone knows the CS is a dog compared to the Scud. Don't even bother thinking about it.

    Just kidding!

the Scud does everything that the CS does but in a faster way...it drives, changes gears, accelerates, brakes, steers faster.

Buy the one you like better.

(Since I was going for the CS in the other thread, just to be balanced/objective/fair)

CS is *****. Scud is faster, more modern, better overall. Don't even test drive it!

Buy both and then get a Speciale and have all three... that would be quite the garage.

Not going to go too far off course but for the price you can have a 997 GT3RS and I beg to differ that it cannot match the emotion of the CS. The manual gearbox alone is a bump up in the emotional experience.

...not that I wouldn't pick the CS anyways ;)

The gt3rs is a great car, the CS is a great car. But they are quite different. Choosing between these is what I like to call a high quality problem. Drive them back to back and you will like one more than the other, or (as is the case with me) you will like them both for different reasons. I actually sold my gt2rs and bought a CS. The gt2rs was one of the fastest driving and fastest braking cars I have ever driven, but it didn't really excite me. With gt3rs and NA engine, revs are higher so a bit more drama. It sounds like you prefer gt3rs so go for it. There is no wrong answer here.

I was quite shocked to see what prices are being asked for a 997.1 GT3. A while ago, less than a year ago IIRC, those cars were hovering about high 90's to low 100's. I was contemplating selling my 996 GT3 for the RS but was talked out of it by my mechanic.

Blame it on the 991 lack of success. The 996 GT3 has also appreciated by the way :)
