Probably not cheap, that and who can reprogram it to match your car ? That does not sound cheap either ......
Randy and Tomy, We bought my brother's GTS with only one black fob and key. I'll be headed to Ferrari of Scottsdale to buy three new fobs and those new ones will be coded to the car with the old Pin code. Ferrari does not sell the red fobs anymore, so I picked up an old one from a member here for $100. It will be used for the outer red plastic only. They have some on eBay that are sitting for $200+ and cheap plastic shells from China that look kind of cheesy for $30. I'd rather have the OEM one so I thought $100 was fair. Robb
Hey Robb. I have a new Fob & Pin kit from Ferrari. They aren't providing RED master fobs anymore. They give out black ones now. Just a FYI.
question..my red fob has two metal tags with number on them...is this the code for alarm system and radio? They seem to be an original part. Anyone else have them?
Anything is possible. The alarm pin code is printed on a carbon paper sealed packet with perforated edges that you tear off to open. I'll try to shoot a photo of it later. Robb
No, designed and made by Bosch in Australia who supplied the system or variations of it as an OEM to various manufacturers, including Ford. Similar looking remotes are used on Australian Ford Falcons of the 1990's . The internals are completely different though.
So I got to ask whats the point of the red fob? I just got one key and fob with two little metal things.
This is what the pin code looks like sealed inside its original paperwork for '96 to '99 F355's. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
