I have a F 430 and would like to replace the door speakers. Does anybody have step by step instructions on how to do this? Specifically, I need instructions on how to remove and install door panels without damage. Thanks in advance,
    Edgar

Mike at Scuderia Audio did a video on installing speaker. Should be on his website but it is on YouTube as well.

The video shows the 360 door card removal but not the 430. On the 360 all he did was remove the silver trim to access the speaker. The panels are different on the 430 as they do not have the silver trim piece. I, too, would like to find a step by step or video instruction.

I also looked at Scuderia Audio's videos. They do not describe how to remove and install door panels in the 430. I'm sure someone knows how to do this without damaging panels.

Did you replace amp or speakers? If you did what do you recommend?

For me the Alpines are the best but that is my opinion only. They fit in the 430 no issues.

Bout to get some Focal components for the 430. Anyone else have in sight into pulling the door panel off?

The 430 door panel is much easier than the 360 door panel to remove. No Heim joints for the door lock mechanisms. The only difference is that there are three fasteners in the front of the door card that are covered with little round leather covered buttons. Pop each button out with a little screwdriver and the fasteners are right there.

This is true - for their install video Part 1.
In the Part 2 video, Scuderia Audio shows how to remove, then reinstall the door card.

Sorry Edgar just now seeing your post.

I've replaced my entire stock stereo HiFi System and I have a post here somewhere but here's the info on how remove speakers.

    Please see attached.

    Hope that helps.

I went with Morel speakers I purchased from Crutchfield and the sound difference from stock is really night and day.

Never heard of Morel speakers but I will check them out. The stock stereo sucks. I cant stand the screeching and static sound.

I'm leaning towards Focal components. That's what I usually run.

Awesome write up Dan, per usual.

I had the Focals on my other car and you cannot go wrong with Focals, another outstanding speaker.

Personally, I find the engine noise so loud in my 430 spider that, for me, the sound quality of the stereo or speakers becomes irrelevant. Besides, I find the exhaust noise much better to listen to than anything coming out on the radio. :)

FYI my speakers were 5.25" (not 6.5") and I used the Focal PS-130V. Tweeters fit in the OEM spot with some hot glue gun. I got the speakers installed professionally, but I mounted the amp (JL XD500/3) myself behind the passenger seat and tuned it using a $60 oscilloscope from Amazon with a tone generator app on my iPhone. My sub (JL Microsub 8") fits right behind the driver seat and has a tight fit (although I have CF race seats not the sports seats so YMMV). It's not ideal since the subs are 4-ohm and the amp was meant to power 2-ohm subs, but such is life.

    At 75% full volume, I can barely hear my engine...and I have non-stock headers/exhaust so they're loud.

I just wanted to thank all the posters on this thread, for some very useful information that has helped me as I plan to upgrade the speakers on my standard 430 set up this spring.

I plan on buying Alpine 6 inch speakers for the doors. Are standard 1 inch tweeters fine? Forgive my ignorance, and I am away from the car so I can't check, but are there any other speakers in the standard set up? It certainly doesn't sound like it!

Sorry to hijack, but quick question...does anyone know the size of the door speakers for a 360? I want to do all my shopping before I start tearing things apart.
