On the subject of a better factory solution...does anyone really expect this? The car is selling just fine. Considering the tiny market (Speciale owners who don't like the current exhaust) involved, it makes no sense.

 

That is Defo a step in the right direction. Is it just the back box ?

 

Sounds great and with blue flames to boot. What do you have for a 2012 458 Spider???

 

It is a very similar setup for the spider and italia.

we have the following
Twin sound exhaust (muffler system)

test pipes

sport cats (heat shields, 02 simulator included)

Headers

remote kit

the video above has our Test pipes, Twin sound exhaust and remote kit.

 

this is test pipe along with the back box (twin sound exhaust) also there is a remote kit on this car hence the reason the valves are open at an idle.

 

What is a test kit, a decat ? I personally don't like leaving valves open as notice the lack of torque early down. I have ordered Capristo 200 cell cats and novitec valved back box for mine

 

test pipe means No Cat, the remote kit does not mean that your valves are always open it simply gives you the ability to have the valves open or closed when you want.

I have heard the F458 Spider and Speciale with our 200 cell sport cats and twin sound exhaust (back box) and this setup also sounds amazing, very similar to the video.

Yes I had the Capristo back box on my italia, fantastic bit of kit and probably the best upgrade I made on the car. I never liked messing with the remote though, although they made a great noise open, I did notice the difference in throttle response. 458's are razors, love em.

 

Chris Harris on the Specialé sound crisis:

Does Capristo have a Speciale specific set of test pipes and 200cell cats, or did you use the ones for Italia in the video above?

The latest Evo comments that the Aperta has a quieter, nicer, sweeter exhaust. There's your solution, Clarence - fit the exhaust from the Aperta.

 

The exhaust conf. on the Aperta is the same as on the Speciale
best

 

The Headers/Test Pipes/Sport Cats are the same for Italia, Spider, and Speciale.

The Exhaust (cat back) is slightly different from Italia/Spider to the Speciale.

 

Is there any sound clip with just the Capristo catback exhaust instead of the whole system on a Speciale?

 

We do NOT have any, I'm sure someone on the forum has something. I will post something as soon as we get it.

My novitec back box and capristo cats sounds absolutly glorious. Far better than I have ever expected.

 

If want to change the backbox only, which brand do u guys think is the best sounding for Speciale?

Novitec is pretty amazing for a back box only, there is no need to change your cats at all
