The SLR 722s have. Good lord. Some are still listed at over $600k.

SLRs are awesome cars. I'm also surprised that they have begun to dip below $200k.

I think these will start go back up. A lot of car for the money, limited production and a cool story....

Wow, that's only early 599 money for [essentially] an Enzo competitor.

Stunning! Best supercar value. I think when these start to catch on they will go up quickly like the CGT and FGT. They will have their day, they're amazing cars.

Great car and someday will shoot back up like the Z8's have done.

I've always loved the turbine wheels. They looked badass 10 years ago, they look badass now, and they'll still look badass 20 years from now.

Plus one on those wheels, timeless badass look to them .... That front side exhaust is also rare and unique.

I think the car us prices that way because of the performance. It is essentially a GT car, with a slow and outdated gearbox.
It has timeless looks though, and such a nice history. Also, maintenance costs are substantially lower than CGT and Enzo, due to its shared mechanicals with other MB's.

I'm not thrilled by its dynamics or driving experience, but I do agree that sub-200K is deff a bargain for a hypercar such as the SLR.

I'd rather have an older gearbox than older turbos, but either is perfectly manageable. I've heard complaints from Corvette nuts about the C7 coming with an 8spd automatic initially rather than a DCT. Tech marches on. But at 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, I wouldn't point at the gearbox as a detractor.

The gearbox suits these cars perfectly as its shifting is quite quick enough and much smoother than my Gallardo. I enjoy driving this automobile much more than my others and it is discreet enough to only be recognized by the cognoscenti!

+1 and Jerome knows a little bit about driving. I have sat in Los Angeles traffic in one of these and never once questioned the gearbox. I have also put enough miles on a SLR with no traffic. That car is amazing to drive and I think very understated for what it is....
