Seriously, The nose? The work it takes to drive? We know what we love about the car. What do you dislike or better yet, what would you change?

The sticky interiors are an expensive annoyance.

I hate the fact that a $200K GT car built for crossing continents doesn't have cruise control. Inexcusable.

Also, it's purely an aesthetic thing, but I cannot stand the way the rear track looks narrower than the front paired with the fact that it looks like it has Gabriel HiJacker air shocks in the back.

...and... I'm struggling to find many more things I don't like about it. My "likes" list far, far outweighs my dislikes.

Every issue like cruise control, dead body in trunk etc are all solved in the aftermarket. What is difficult to solve is too much weight. Light seats like in a Z06 would feel cheap. The door window assembly is heavy. There is an easy diy -150lbs. That is a start.

Ah...Gabriel HiJackers. I fondly remember them on my 67 Mustang. N50x15s on Keystone mags. Inevitably, an air line would leak or melt on the exhaust system. Stranded! :)

Personally, I love and hate the hood at the same time. Both while driving it and looking at it.

My wish list for the 550 includes:

    - a new key fob with 4 buttons on it: lock doors, unlock doors, open trunk, open gas lid.

    - a front spoiler made out of flexible rubber material.

    - quick connect plug for a battery tender (similar to the 458's).

    - front shocks that unwind the wire on top automatically.

    - a set of 12 new spark plug cables that look like the stock ones that sell for under $200. :)

It has a big ass. Not (proportionately) Corvette big, or even 911 big, but still a little too big for my taste.

I dislike the alarm system and the TPMS , but then again I dislike those systems on all cars. Too much complexity and too many maintanence headaches for too little benefit.

The answer is nothing. They are fabulous cars and really capture the essence of a v12 Ferrari grand tourer. I have done over 100,000 km in my 2002 stick shift 575 and as we speak it was the winter tires on it. The more I drive it the better it gets.
Sure it doesn't have air conditioned seats or lane change warning or cruise control but who cares. Fabulous cars.

The single DIN stereo. What I would not give for a 2DIN slot.

Also, as Toggie said, a better remote with a built in trunk release.

Pretty minor, but I'd prefer the gas filler neck to be on the driver's side. Left side.

And solution for spinning shock actuators

    And cruise control

    And droppy visors

And lack of switchable steering ECU

And plastic surround breakdown on throttle cables

I vote Dave as 550 MVP!

The alarm system, hands down. It is so annoying and it sucks. I'm considering physically removing my siren. The absolute most important flaw is the sound. Which was mentioned by Clarkson when he first reviewed it. Without aftermarket exhaust, it is dead silent unless ran up to 5500 RPM, which is inexcusable for a V12 Ferrari. I was so irritated with the noise, that it literally pushed me to sell it after only 5 months of owning it. Thank god I went one extra step with the test pipes, now it stays in the garage for good. The car is so beautiful and gracefully styled. Very Aston-Marton-esque, and it has not aged a day since it was realeased in the 90s. Even the 355 and 360 have shown signs of aging. The 550 is still pure grace, much like the 275 which it borrows much of its design cues.

    Brad,

Is there a picture of your 550 in the forum somewhere? Grigio Ingrid is one of my favorite colors.

Brad- Alarm works fine once you have a fully operational one and understand how it works. Never assume your tastes in exhaust music are universal because I can guarantee they are not. Your flaw is probably another's perfect sound.

Aston-Martin or 275? Or maybe very Toyota Supra-esque...

Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear video was very witty.

It depends on where I'm driving, Terry. Very seldom where I live, but more frequently seen in The Bronx. :)

I don't like the little rubbing sound the back of the seat makes when I recline it a little and it touches the shelf.

I also don't like how the shoulder belt crosses right over my jugular vein so I always have to move it toward my shoulder to avoid a headache and/or nausea.
