My opinion on that subject did not get anyone banned. The ban was as a result of interaction with the site owner that I had no part in.

 

You were very vocal about the rules and harped on it over and over with Dave. I don't see you doing that here. Why?

 

Guys, I had a few people ask me for the last red fob after it was gone. I deleted a bunch of PM's.

There was just a guy selling a red fob and key chain on Ebay for $260 and I just bought it. It's coming from California and will take a few days. So I can make someone else a working red fob if they want it.

It's funny because I just had a phone conversation with the guy and his 355 came with one fob and no pin and he ended up spending $1,600 to get three new blacks from FNA. I could have instead made him a copy for $250 but he was nervous about dropping his only fob in the mail. He's now selling the original red that became orphaned.

There's one more red fob on Ebay listed at $240. I don't want to buy it without having someone that wants it but if someone snags it I can help them get it working.

Gerry I'm not taking your bait. go read that thread again. I never mentioned any rules, I don't even know what the rules are and I didn't contact any site owners, sponsors, mods or one user. I merely stated my opinion on the matter. If you read the thread you'll see I was not alone in feeling that way either .

The dust up with the owner of this site had zero to do with me and everything to do with the banned user.

For you to deny it means that you either have selective memory or the fumes from removing old mercury amalgams is affecting your memory somewhat. My god man, you even quoted the rules in post 334 and once again repeated it in 337. While you are at it re-read posts 292, 339 and 343. There was so much said by you in that thread there that an unfamiliar reader may have mistaken you for a moderator.
You may not have been the only one with that feeling but you were the only one the kept on about it and made it your personal agenda to get Dave banned.
Now my question for you is this, Do you not see this thread as going against the rules the you so eloquently quoted in the other thread? This is a money making business and admittedly so whereas Daves was not yet and he still has not made a dime off of his venture.
It was very obvious that you had a personal vendetta against Dave ever since the post of you trying to point out to him how to lift a 355.

 

FYI... I had Gobble duplicate my only fob. I too was nervous about mailing and I live near Milwaukee so I drove down there. Great guy, Beautiful home. Fantastic cars. All I can say is thanks for help. We need more supportive, no confrontational members here.

Back on topic, I am wondering what this key fob is for. My car didn't come with one but I assume that is because it is a Challenge model. Care to educate a newbie and get the thread back on topic?

 

The 2.7 motronic cars do not have an alarm system in them and the challenge cars are 2.7.

 

I am one of those Ferrari owners that spent about $2000.00 for the remote code and 3 fobs from Ferrari North America. My car only came with one fob. I sold the car with three new black fobs. The Ferrari dealer de-programmed the red fob. Mark just purchased my red fob. I really think he helps out the community. He does not do it for the money.

 

Had mine done and I see no way you make any money on these.

If anyone needs a back cover I have 3 extras where I tossed the front because it was in such bad shape. Free to anyone that covers the shipping. Or I suppose I could just put in in an envelope with a stamp so I'll say free to anyone that needs one.
