Exactly right!! Anyone who doesn't get that must have an agenda...and I can't imagine what it is.

 

They're know as flak catchers for a reason.

 

It is with sad heart for me what happened to Michael: The Enthusiasm he showed when he won a race on the podium, The joy to the Ferrari fans and factory. Exciting to watch him make up time before his pit stop etc,etc. And I read years ago that he donated to charities quietly and privately. I pray he improves, but it does not seem likely.

Don't give up yet! Never forget that Michael made a career out of doing what had never been done before and hope that he has one more miracle left in him.
God Bless Michael, other injured drivers, & all others in medical difficulty.

 

I think to put matters to rest, the family or the management of Michael must release a statement, and and inform the public, the fans, how he is actually doing.

This way, it can give us the fans, an idea what's actually going on and probably pray even more for him.

By keeping secrets, all this assumptions, and all this lies, opinions, are just going to keep on popping out until, MS starts appearing in public again. It's only going to force the management into issue statements every two weeks..

 

Unfortunately by whatever they inform us now, the people of the internet will interpret it their own way and we'll be back at square one.

 

I couldn't find that this link has been posted yet, and I apologize if it has, but I thought this was a nice read of the good thoughts sent Michael's way by his friends in F1

It's very sad indeed,and a freak occurcence.

The type of injury Mr Hughes suffered however is pretty much a certain fatality....Gary Hartstein noted the only reason he lived as long after the accident was because of the care he received.

 

You could say the same about MS' injury.

 

The injuries are entirely different though. The way I read it from dr Hartstein, the injury Phillip suffered is quite simply fatal in every occurence (and almost immediate).

Schumachers' injury has been survived, but that's because the intensity of the injury is much harder to measure.

 

I think it's two different type of injury. One is base of the skull injury, whereas one is probably top of the head injury..

 

It has been almost 1 year. Anyone heard anything?

 

Unfortunately, no. Hopefully things are ok with the Schumachers.

 

Today it's been a year.

Phillipe Streiff apparently once again said something about MSC. Sabine has replied that he has no knowledge of the subject and is not a friend of the family so there's no way he could've gotten the ''update'' from Corinna. Sabine did mention improvements are still happening at the rate that's expected. This is going to take years still .

Streiff is being odd with his comments IMO. Earlier this year he made other claims as well, also being shot down.

Well, not only did he indeed said it, but his interview got printed by "Le Parisien", which is a popular newspaper here; it spread rapidly, and that prompted Sabine's reaction.

By the way, I have to say that I was rather positively surprised by a short topic about the accident's anniversary date this morning at 6:45 on "France Inter", the french public radio.
Nice gesture.

They said that many people in Germany are still asking for more information about Michael's state of health; but that, according to the information available, what they understand is that the progress, if any, are very, very slow.

Just dropped my brother off at the airport he is off to Austria now for a blast on the snow, fresh load just been dumped, for the first time in years I have not gone with him, it's a bit ironic the reason why I haven't..

 

Probably that if you take into account the actual, "official" news given about his state of health, that we know absolutely nothing, except that Sabine Kehm always take great care to mention at every occasion that "there is still a very long road ahead".

There must be some degree of truth to what Streiff is stating. Just because he isn't close to the family doesn't mean he doesn't know several people who are. The telephone game probably mixed up some of the facts but if Michael wasn't making some sort of progress by now then there's just no way his Will would indicate he be kept alive on machines. I hate to think on how complicated his last will and testament might be though...hang in there Michael

 

I haven't a clue what Streiff is on about to be honest. He talks about MSC being able to walk on crutches in a few years. As far as we know, MS's spine or legs are unaffected in the accident. This is a brain injury, not a spinal cord one where Schumi is just enjoying a long sleep until he gains enough strength to walk about on crutches.
