Hah. If any idiot can add turbo boost but make a 'proper' car of this is another story. And this is what we are expecting from Ferrari what is trying to do now with new 458. California T has already shown that Ferrari's attitude to turbo engine 'experience' is a higher level engineering.

    Not fair.

Ferrari and Porsche didn't start with a handicapped motor!!

Hmm, my V12s in my FF and F12 says they are miles better than my Speciale's V8.

I've turned many of my cars for years my comment was towards to any idiot can make a powerful turbo engine. !!!

Which is not true at all !

Anyone who took modifying cars as a hobby know it's a very hard dedicated thing to do and not just anyone can build turbo engines, ive dealt with many all this year's so I know it's ups and downs.

Ferrari sure can build turbo engines from nothing this is not a debate and they do already have a flat-plane crank California T engine.

The F40 ride is outright aweful, people only praise it for the mythical status it has as the last car produced when Enzo was still alive.

Compared to what late 80s ? The car drives fine unless someone compares it's to a 458 or any modern ferrari.

To me I wish to own one just the price is really keeping me as many new cars options nowadays and more important the research I have to do to own a fully serviced ferreri certified one.

It's by no mean a myth it's a true lovely supercar for the ones who admires it.

The F40 is not a comfortable car by any standards. Nor does anyone who's ever driven one care. It's not built to be comfortable - it's almost stupidly spartan.

I understand and respect your opinion but it looks like even with electric "torque fill" the P1 suffers from turbo lag in certain driving conditions and can be caught "off boost" as is said in this CAR review around 3:50 in the video. I have always preferred NA to turbo because of the non-linear power delivery of turbos (but that is my personal preference).

While Ferrari has gone to turbos in their street V8s for emission and fuel consumption reasons, haven't they stated clearly that their flagship V12s will not be turbocharged?

It depends on the turbo construction as well. If you were to stick an electric powerplant to the engine of the Cali T or Kegg One:1 you would have a pretty instant power delivery, but as per my knowledge McLaren's turbo design isn't very innovative.

I believe it's technically impossible for a FI + Hybrid to beat a NA + Hybrid when it comes to response. That's down to the nature of design - and you could ever drive around with an anti-lag system (WRC) always engaged. Not even race-engines tackle that.

I understand why some people might think the p1 has lag. The car really tricks your mind because when you gun the throttle, there is an instant torque fill that is silent. This happens while the turbos are whistling and gushing while building boost behind your head. Then you get another kick once they open up. Its a bit hard to explain but i have had to change my driving style on track because of this issue. I actually feel the engine to be a bit too responsive, so what i do is shift up a gear or go slow in and fast out in the corners.

I love the laferraris v12, that engine feels like its connected directly to your soul. I love the p1's turbo kick because there is nothing quite like it in the top end. And i love the shock that the 918 manages to provide from its instant torque kick. Each of these cars provides a unique driving experience.

I just took delivery of my hybrid boxter. I have to say, well done porsche.

A BIG improvement over the car i drove in march. I think its gonna be a keeper.

I love the writeups from someone who actually has/ or at least has driven/ these fine machines. I think they are all super exciting and I'd love to have any one of them, but all 3 would be best :)

The newest TG season is coming in January, is it right? What lap times do you expect of the three supercars? And in what order :p?
