I saw photo's of this car before I bought mine. Such a unique and great color scheme - absolutely love it. If I had known it was for sale at the time I might have made him an offer.

As for Cavallino, I plan to attend but not with my car. Too hard to get it on the plane

 

Nothing I hated any more than Preston Henns bb512 and Jim Downings Mazda at the 24hr races at Daytona...it was bad enough trying to work on our cars and then to have those guys pitting right next to you caused me to suffer hearing loss.

 

But rotaries sounds so cool. Especially the 4 rotor variants.

Yep the 767b motors were even louder and I hated them also...they sound good from the grand stands but man when you are in the pit garage with one of those cars right next to you it was like having 20 chain saws,turning a million rpms, in each ear.

I'll never forget the first time they showed up at LeMans....4 rotors..yikes!!! It was a knock down drag out to figure what class they would run and what weight ballast had to be added...they almost had to pack up and go home......we were a little troubled as to how they would stack up against our entries.

Very true on the F1 cars.

As I said those Mazdas sound great when your in the grand stands.....they now have 6 rotor engines, just glad my crew chief days are long gone..lol

I'll be at the track on Friday and at Cavallino on Saturday. I don't think that I'm bringing any of my cars, though.
