In the meantime I think so as well!
The part seems to be hand welded into the car....

Sale pending on the Symbolic car…

Pelican Parts Technical BBS - View Single Post - 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera

The Pelican post also mentions they will soon have an early Euro 76 model in Grand Prix white with black / grey interior and black / grey Turbo Graphics.

Saw 7800608 today at a local meet. Only other 3 litre I know of in San Diego, (I'm sure there's more stashed away). Copper brown/cork, 30k miles. The most preserved early turbo I've seen. The interior was immaculate, paint was very good. All original down to the thermal reactors. Wonderful car and definitely a cut above the symbolic car that's selling/sold here locally.

Restored to beyond original or original? Will pebble beach quality ( $100K and more ) restoration or prepared 930 be worth more or be more desireable than a real excellent original? After all they were originally built with power tools so all bolts/nuts may not be facing the same way. And restoration paint quality and restoration materials that are different, but better be acceptable as restored original as seen on some of the cars in the recent posts before Sholbeck's ?

Tony, mine is an unrestored original. Simon's car is really nice as he has been working on it for a couple of years, replacing this and that and bringing her back to original condition.

No question, I was referring to what I've seen "in person." This forum has a plethora of fantastic, original cars which is one of the reasons it's the authority on early 930s. Photos do not do this color justice, in certain light the car looked red. Really beautiful.

Does anyone have a diagram labeling all of the stock engine components for a '76 or '77 that they can post?

Love that color... Buddy just picked on up that same color this summer with no sunroof. Cant wait to go for a ride in it. Don't want to tell what he got it for but he stole it!

You’re welcome. It is a nicely made video and is a reminder of worldwide appeal of the early turbos.

It would be interesting to see the COA for his 1977 Turbo...it should indicate: “motordeckel ohne modellbezeichnung (engine cover without name) – option code 498. True delete options, unlike the popular sunroof delete misnomer, are very rare on early turbos.

Didn't '76s have the valve stem supports? Those always make me smile.

The Fuchs should have the valve stem supports but they often go missing with clueless tire replacement/repair (off they go with the value stems). Fortunately, $3 replacements are available from Porsche parts suppliers and they are indistinguishable from the originals.
