I'm no expert in this field, but this seems like one of those websites that lure people in with a 'loud' headline and then tries to sell their newsletter.
Some pull back will always be expected.

WHAT??!! You mean that dumping your Countachs for whatever you can get isn't the smartest thing to do right now?? I thought I was being smart by heeding this website and not paying to read past the sensational headline. I'm feeling REALLY stupid right now....THANKS for freaking me out GraemeS. BRAAAP!!
-and I've got to call off the moving company who was going to haul all of my essentials to the silo I bought in North Dakota with what I was able to get from the Countach fire sale. DOUBLE BRAAP!!!

It also reports an accident in 1998.

Indeed its a candidate for some TLC.

FWIW the broken passenger door window-frame others pointed out before the dealer purchased it appears to have been repaired.

The Seller says the miles "are believed original", and if they are, I can tell you Ive encountered cars with less mileage that look worse. I'd agree the car is not pristine.

Remember reading one of Harry Metcalves,s european /over the alps journeys in his Countach,on the return trip to England, his speedo/ odometer quit working, also the blue periscopo in Connecticut had a non working speedo, and who knows how many other cars with similar problems over the last 40 or so years, you almost have to ignore the odometer and judge the whole package based on wear and tear ,records and so on.i agree with Joe,i have seen 3000 milers that looks like 50000 hard driven miles,

Thoses who beleive mechanical ordometers of 30 years old italian cars that are worth over $100K are fools.
I think records and overall conditions of a car should be what really counts.

Unfortunatly the myth of the visually low digit ordometers is alive and well.

yes, but if you know how, it is very easy to see real milage over car.

Well, look at the 308 threads. You see 308 in the market for over $100K now. Many at over $60K. Only a few months ago, these car could not break $35K. Almost all are in need of work due to deferred maintenancefor not being valuable all these years.

I dont know if anyone buy these things at that level, but frankly, seeing other models cars' price like the TR or the 308, at $318K a countach is a great bargain.

  21. That is low. The reality is that you have a very nice static model, that can not be used. On the flip side, GM sure got off on a billion warranty issues if it was anything like the 89 Corvette or Fiero GT I had.

On the 318k Countach, I'm curious what accident damage was done, and if that is a factor in the price.

Just received the 2015 SCM "Pocket Price Guide". Even after a year of record setting prices for all variants of the Countach, they are still behind the curve on values....

  23. And only a "B" rating. lol. Even by his own admission, the Countach was good for ~20% gain. Keith is asleep at the wheel...

looks like only the lp400 got updated and then the guy must have gone to bed and forgot to finalize the rest.

If you go by this, the 25th is the next best thing to the lp400 at 10% of the value! the rest of them are lesser cars.
How can a so called "expert" publish such a trash piece and have no shame? If the guy make money at this, we all should cash in as well, it should be easy for us toget it 80%more correct.

EDIT:correction:he has got 2 price for the pl400, a high one and a low one. Just to make sure he covers all the bases... Is this an early April fools joke?
If not I am glad to learn there are 2 lp400 model.
