of course, there will always be critics. mental illness is still a serious issue.

Opinion: Why the Porsche 991 GT3 RS doesn?t excite me | Total 911

I can't believe the person taking the recent shots in that garage didn't get an interior pic!! Really hoping they make this in stick as rumored.

one of the more interesting details is the "Zagato" style roof, which Porsche claims is done for increased headroom for drivers wearing helmets...although I'm sure it's carefully sculpted to direct air to that massive rear wing :)

(yes I realize this pic is a scale model...but it's the best one I could find highlighting the roof)

depending on whom you ask, manual transmission is either:

    - not happening at all
    - will be an option
    - might be an option
    - definitely is an option
    - is the only gearbox available.

buy into the rumor you like the most :)

my suspicion is it will be PDK only.

Might be my age but these cars are getting huge, and wheels look too big. Prob will grow on me as usual but not quite as pretty anymore, ehh.?

yes, the 991 is much bigger than early 911s. such is the world we live in, a combination of legislation (crash test requirements) and customer demands (more performance AND more comfort).

bigger wheels house bigger brakes to slow down all that mass :)

    nice photo comparison here:

I agree with Chas. No way is Porsche going to go backwards in performance from the GT3.

Bravo on creating something which benefits other people!

Now comes the not-so-easy part, maintaining it. See those thread buzzards circling overhead? Most threads die in short order, unless the OP consistently furnishes it with useful text, helpful illustrations and quality images. I have three threads (GTO, Miura, Countach) on FChat with over a million views spanning up to 8 years running, and as with all good things, it takes nothing less than dedication.

Look on the bright side, it'll keep you out of trouble ;)

Zero chance of anything but PDK-S, the manual transmission RS era ended with the 997 GT3 RS.

Those are 991 GT3 wheels. The production version of the 991 GT3 RS will have even bigger 21" rear wheels.

The recessed plane is also a styling theme running from the front hood to the trailing edge of the roof.

It uses the current lightweight racing seat, as available in the 991 GT3 and the 918.
