Orange! 3.6 RS will leave the Lamborghini far behind after a few laps... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like trouble. life's no fun without it but with no commercial interest in these cars, maintaining it will be a labor of love; we'll see how long my crush lasts. ah, I assumed the hood recess was an homage to 911s of old; I hadn't put two and two together. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not to hijack, but instead of starting another thread, I'm back int he market for a gt2/3. I read your prior thread review and decision making for gt3rs over gt2. I have been offered a pristine 997.2, 0 dme gt3, non-rs and wanted an opinion from those on value/collect ability but more so is the rs variant that much more of a drivers car. Im not a speculator but rather a driver, although, I wouldn't complain if the car market appreciates this model. The asking price is approaching the $150 mark. I fulfilled my dream of owning a 930 and have managed several thousand miles on it in the past few years but want something more modern with the rawness of the 930.
A 997 GT3 is a very nice car, but I really think you'd be better off commencing another thread that will more readily invite discussion towards your goals. It seems to me that the folks who come here are dedicated to the thread's subject - the RS, so I feel this thread limits input to your cause.

I thought the roof bumps were to increase head room for helmets for some reason I was more excited to see the 991 gt3 than this rs. I am sure it will set the record lap times at ls, vir, and Motown mile in the 2015 pcoy tests though
pick up a 997 GT2 RS before the prices go nuts! that's going to be a 4.0 level collector car someday....manual gearbox, Metzger engine, last of the GT2s (maybe), low production, etc etc.

I am a bit late to the party. 6 months ago the GT2RS was around 250K, now over 300. I think (hopeful) that there will be significant upside to the GT2. It is still raucous and crazy fast and maybe a bit more useable. Almost as rare. Less than 200 brought to US.
