More to come so the story is not over yet albeit the pace of posts will reduce. Next up is finishing off a few minor details and then Evo and Anglesea which will be a weather reliant issue. That will be the definitive moment.
Tim, I think the comment may have been a troll post. On the subject of bigger turbos, I actually prefer them to the stock ones - I get 300 wtq @3,000 rpm which is more "street" friendly before it rises to the full fat 500 wtq @5,000 - 7,000 rpm which is more "track" friendly.
Don't worry about that guy!! He's the same type that roll up to a show in a Toyota Corolla and tell you that you used the wrong hose clamps, so the value has plummeted. Experts that have never turned a wrench in their lives let alone driven an F40 at full tilt. This car is AMAZING!! The attention to detail is unmatched and I'm sure that if Enzo had the technology that's available today, he'd build it just like this. Good luck taming that tiger sir.
You will recall that I said I was putting together a book on this project and after months of work so far I have finished Vol 1 and will finish Vol 2 once the Evo test is over. To keep the detail it seemed impossible to squeeze into a single Photobox book, even at 100 pages and this reminds me what a lot went into this project-let alone approx 6,000 man hours. I will be doing just a maximum of 40 copies of the two volumes, 1/40 and 2/40 being for my own and the cars records but promised I would post here with my plans when they began to mature. I also have about another 6 copies verbally committed subject to price. I have no idea on cost as yet but once I have a confirmed the run I can negotiate with Photobox so I would ask anyone who is at least interested to note as such here and then I can get a price once I am back in the UK. It may take a while but it has already taken 2 years for the project and many months to put the book together so it takes what it takes, and I will post some pics of my proof in due course. Thanks
Note me down as interested Tim. Thanks. On another note, will you be attending the GRRC Members' Meeting this year?
