    Something doesn't sound right with this story.

    He owned a 458, but none of his colleagues knew about it until he drove it work? So they had no clue prior that?

    If I hadn't driven My 348 TS to work then none of My work colleagues would know I own a Ferrari.

    Okay it's not a 458, but the principles the same, if you don't tell anyone you work with that you own it then how are they going to know? (And it's even easier to keep secret if you don't live local to where you work).

    Not everyone feels a need to tell the whole World that they own a Ferrari (although in this case it seems that this muppet did!).

    Do you do background checks on everyone you work with to find out if they have a Ferrari/Lamborghini/Rolls Royce etc., etc., in their garage or have large sums of money sitting in their bank accounts?

    As the car was bought with the proceeds of criminal activity it will be confiscated (along with any other items/goods/properties etc., that are deemed to have been bought with money made from crime), sold on and the proceeds will be channeled back into the Police force.

    In general, most of the items will end up at auction and sold off for whatever they make, but in the case of properties and the 458, chances are they will be sold on the open market rather than auction to get the most money possible for them.

    I wonder how many Ferrari's have had links to criminals and criminal activities in their history?

    I know the first owner of My 348 TS was a scrap metal dealer so My car's definitely had a link to at least one "dodgy geezer" in the past! :D
