I will drive mine till there is no more petrol. I'm no purist. I'm a driver. Low mileage is pointless. It just means there is a lot of work to be done.

+1 When my 308 is done it will be a 99% A+ supercharged awesomeness, but I'd sell it for the right price and keep my black on black TR.

Today's Coys of Kensington classic car auction included a tidy RHD, '91, 12,000mile, one-owner Testarossa. The car hadn't been serviced since 2006 but was well guided at £65-85,000.

The final hammer price turned out to be considerably higher at £116,000, which is approximately £132,000 inc buyers premium. That's $200,121 at today's £/$ exchange rates, so it looks as if the 2015 Testarossa auction market is off to a flying start..

Thats great, now lets wait for the usual suspects to post how that car just ain't worth nothing like that.
Meanwhile the market talks for itself!

The Boxer has helped TR's a bit. The Countach did too. With the BB's and CT getting up in price what else is there circa $150-$200K that has a flat 12 cyl and looks like a TR? What, a 911 with 195 HP? That car will not give you the TR experience. Yes 10K TR's were produced, but is that really a lot? Not really. Not with the ever expanding population and enthusiasts that are obviously there. The demand is there no doubt. With more and more people wanting to have an Italian PF designed 380-440 HP 80's and 90's Supercars, the TR's are going to be in demand. Simple as that. I just wished I grabbed a flying mirror 6 months ago...

Usually you see the higher prices with cars that are < 5K miles. But with this one over 12,000 miles, that's probably a record in the last few years. That's great to hear.

If you look at the auction estimates for the french, uk and usa upcoming auctions with Testarossas, you see, the coys estimate was the lowest. There are 7 cars between 0 miles ( silverstone in feb 130.000 - 159.000 Pounds ) and 41.000 KM ( artcurial in feb 100.000 - 120.000 Euros ) so it seems, there are no moon prices out there. ( grab the gooding Testarossa in jan for 110.000 - 140.000 $ as it seems to be the best of all :))

As the TR costs 260.000 Marks ( 130.000 Euros) in 1989 and this was about 10.000 Euros more as the GTO in 84, in my opinion, the prices will climb much more this year for the TR.

Search for a 12 cyl., 2 seater Ferrari without ABS, ESP and the other autopilot stuff and you see, there is no doubt in Rising prices.

Ask anybody out of the forum, which Ferrari he knows and you hear Testarossa. Its an icon and it became drivable without white socks and gold chain image.

As an icon, its a collectors must have too. Think about vintage Rolex prices and they produced about 100.000 chronometers every year in eary times.

And last but not least drive a Testarossa ( if you not just rule owners here ) and you see this car will grow up more than one of the 4000 8 zyl. Dinos. The Testarossa was much to low priced for years ... And this changes very quick in my opinion..

They weren't listed for sale then, I was given a tour of the warehouse, but they weren't for sale at that point.

Just a wild guess on my part, but I suspect they don't list the price because they don't want 25 pages on fcat talking down the price with a bunch of posters that live at home with mommy or daddy calling the car prices to expensive. It really only takes a few bad apples to ruin a bushel.

They have a very good Reputation for clean honest low mileage well cared for cars with no gray areas.
    their inventory is always immaculate.
I suspect certain cars that are in demand ...meaning the market for them is in everpresent flux
can increase in value from the time the listing is posted till the time the buyer sees it..

They are reserving the right to quote the most current auction comp or previous current comp.

This is the definition of capitalism... To capitalize on business

No dilly dallying, if you want the car ,they sell it at what they believe the market will pay...No one is in it for their health..

Probably this system was advised by attorneys nationwide as to not be held liable for a quote 4 weeks old in an escalating market.

I have bought from them, I inquired last night and their 92 512 TR is $300,000.00

There are some BIG auctions up this weekend in Ariz....I suspect the Market will uptick again for certain cars...this 300 will be a bargain, very shortly...

I don't get it. The white 512tr was for sale for a few months at Midwest exotic motors for $189K and it didn't sell. So now it's for sale for $300k at Marshal's??

This is a good thing. It makes our Testarossa look cheap at $100K. ;-)
