    1) Lancia delta integrale evoluzione I - In Rosso Monza over standard grey alcantara, no sunroof. (Hence my name, this is my favorite car and Monza red is obviously my favorite car color) This would be the garage queen or what i refer to as my "Collector's/favorite car"
    2) 1974 Lancia Stratos stradale
    3) 1998 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo S silver/Fox red interior
    4) 1970 Mustang Boss 302 in medium blue
    5) 2006 Ford Mustang GT white/blue stripes
    6) 2007 Subaru Impreza STi Blue/Gold BBS

only top 2 are in Order and Sorry, no Ferrari's make my top 6 ;), and i know #6 will get me in trouble but at the end of the day its fair to admit a excellent drivers machine when present. Last of the true rally derived STi's
Honorable mentions: Ferrari 288 GTO, Ford escort RS cosworth t35 Homologation spec big turbo, 2000 Mitsubishi Evolution 6 TME W/ Marlboro wrc livery, Lamborghini murcielago SV, Ferrari 430 scuderia, Ford focus RS mk2.

    1) 918 Spyder
    2) 458 Speciale Aperta
    3) 911 GT3RS
    4) FF
    5) BMW M5
    6) Range Rover

I'd might change the Speciale A to a fixed roof Speciale and change the FF to F12. Always had something for M5s, the Range is practical and quite gorgeous in this incarnation, the GT3 is there because, well, you need a 911 (and for the tracks!), and the 918 is for the lolz.

So 10 years ago I made this list. I have had the chance to own these cars and several others and on some I was close and on others I was flat out wrong (G Wagen? Seriously?). Anyway, since I made this list I've owned some amazing sports cars and I have gotten a better handle on what makes certain cars great to live with and what makes others nightmares. I have been lucky enough to have gone through several cars until I found my keepers that I won't sell. Here is my current list:

    1) F40. The ultimate Supercar. I own a perfect restored one. Keeper.
    2) 348 Challenge. Like a small spritely version of the F40 and one of the best feeling sports cars. I have an incredible unraced one. Keeper.
    3) 550 Maranello. The most sporty of the modern front engine cars and a fantastic cruiser. I got one of the last ones made with all the updates. Keeper.
    4) Daytona Competition Coupe for vintage rallies. Amazing car - just modern enough to be fun but old enough to event eligible. Would love to grab one someday.
    5) Rolls Royce Ghost. The best luxury car built today and a personal favorite.
    6) Something cheap and tough that you can take anywhere, anytime, in any weather and not care. Because there are toys and there are tools. You need both.

    Honorable mentions:

    a) 1973 Porsche 2.7 RS (I own the best one in the US) or SWB 911 that's eligible for vintage rallies (own one too). Great cars and if you're more a Porsche guy than a Ferrari guy then you can easily put these into the equation.

    b) Lancia Stratos. There's nothing like the winningest rally car of the hey day of rally and old enough to be event eligible at some great events. Missed that boat :(

    c) Mercedes Benz 2.3-16 Evo2 or Alfa Romeo 155 Q4. Along with the E30 M3, these were the cars of the 80s/90s DTM juggernaut.

    d) Other amazing luxury cars: MB S65 AMG, Bentley Mulsanne, and others. There are lots of great cars for that category that just amaze me.

    e) Lamborghini Countach. I owned an amazing one for a while and only recently sold it. It got way too much attention for me but they are cars that just cannot be duplicated by any other car. Could be a good car on this list.

All if this aside, I've come to the conclusion that it's hard to own more than 4 cars in reality.

I love the Gwagen, and have driven a few, but not owned one...does its quirkiness wear off, or is there something else that made it a bad experience?

I agree. I've never owned more than 3 at a time (and even then, for brief periods), and even then it was on the verge of becoming a hassle.

It's the worst. It's a terrible driving experience: it's huge on the outside and small on the inside (I could fit more in my Honda Fit but unlike the Fit, it can't go in tight spaces), it's the noisiest highway car ever, gets crappy mileage, and all it's for are posers and housewives. How's that for an opinion? :D
