Arrived today...my first dual/multi-time zone watch...and I wanted one with some blue elements for a while...happy so far Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wearing a watch I bought but hoped to never wear. This was my gift to my grandpa for his 80th birthday, 7 years ago. He loved it and wore it every day until he passed away on New Years Eve. My grandma gave it back to me which was very emotional. When I gave it to him all those years ago, I knew I would probably get it back some day but always hoped that day would never come. I miss him dearly and plan on wearing this watch every day to remember him. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Glad you got it back, just not under these circumstances. Just trust me on this; don't wear it every day. You'll never forgive yourself if something happens to it. Wear it for special occasions and on days that you miss him.
Good thing for you you don't have my dickhead brother's heinous wife to deal with and didn't have to repo it after she stole it from his safe...
Nice watch and sorry to hear about Grandpa. Treasure the watch and the memories that come with it mate.
Picked up this Shinola when in Vegas last. Was looking for a decent watch around $500 and had never heard of how they had relaunched this brand. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My grandfather used to tell me I didn't know the difference between ***** and Shinola. I guess now I do.
Today a rare vintage Citizen "Spaceman" automatic chronograph. pic is not from today as you can easily see. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love wearing the watch. Can dress it up or down, various straps available if that's your thing. Watch itself is nice, large face appearance but very light weight. Comes with a nice wooden box, balm for the leather band, metal stamped card with information on it, lifetime warranty plus what is to me a cool story of what the company is trying to do. Only complaint is that I wish the lume was better. All in all, for ~ $500, you get quite a lot. Highly recommend.
Funny, I used to hear that phrase all the time as well but had no idea what it meant! Did a little research on it once I actually bought the watch. Understood then why mostly only older people knew what it meant!
That is a very cool watch! Perhaps have the lume re-done on it. There are plenty of people out there that do it. Not sure about the cost, but might be something to consider which I am sure will make the watch that little bit better and you very happy also.
Picked this up at an estate sale over the weekend. Not a wristwatch but didn't think it warranted its own thread, unless there are others who have mechanical stopwatches or rally computers to show off. Really enjoying the satisfying, audible "tickticktickticktick" it makes while running. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How does it sit on the wrist, contours nicely or bulky? Does it have the rubber strap, what do you think of it? I like these watches, but love the way my PP Nautilus conforms exactly to the shape of the wrist...so comfortable.
