Yet he's still beaten 2 fellow WDC's 3 times... Has anyone else on the grid done that? Or who else on the Grid has won 2 WDC's with 2 different teams?

Rosberg was the 4th great hope to try and take Hamilton down but alas it was not to be... Just keep hoping for your great hope to take him down but Still I Rise...

Actually, if it wasn't for the debacle caused by Lewis reneging on and agreement which sucked Alonso into "punishing him" by blocking him in the pits, Alonso would have probably beaten Lewis that year. However, unlike some here, I'm not trying to rewrite history.

    Wins

*Drivers qualified with their race fuel loads in 2007 which could affect qualifying performance. Alonso qualified in front of Hamilton in Hungary but was penalised and moved behind.

Lol 3 page thread already before I got to see it. Hamilton is definitely the most polarising on this forum.

Came in here to post the button vs hamilton statistics but I see someone has already done so. The finishes ahead when both cars finish is the most illuminating statistic imo. Hamilton is clearly a better driver than button but does wear his heart on his sleeve so has had poor results when having Nicole issues/ if in aggressive on track battles with others (so as Schumacher).

The thing is Schumacher and rosberg have been in long term stable marriages. Rosberg has been with the same girl forever and Schumacher also for most of his f1 career. Is hamilton more emotionally fragile? No. Definitely not. Rosberg shattered like glass when he was booed off the podium and couldn't handle the negative comments from people calling him a cheater when he took hamilton out. If he had wife problems he would be a compelte mess. Same with Schumacher. It's human nature.

Who is the best on the grid right now? Either hamilton or alsonso the point remains untested. Their battle could have gone either way in 2007 and hamilton just edged out alonso. Both drivers have matured since then and are more compelte packages. Hamilton handed adversity so well last year and surprised all his haters who expected him to show red mist and be emotionally fragile.

Schumacher lost to rosberg which takes his standing down somewhat. Even if past his prime the compelte thrashing he received was embarrassing. It's hard to fully evaluate all his career because those years at ferrari flattered him - lead driver with a great car and team built around him. Who would win in a fair fight between an in form Schumacher, alonso and hamilton? I wouldn't wanna bet on anyone because it would be a tough fight.

Exclusive Q&A: Anthony Davidson on Formula 1 in 2015 and Honda's return | Features & Experts | Sky Sports Formula 1

Honest and fair assessment from Ant Davidson

--If it is Hamilton v Rosberg once again, how will it unfold?

AD: "I think we saw pretty much the maximum from Nico in terms of qualifying effort last year, he was exceptional on many an occasion and genuinely had the upper hand on Lewis throughout the season, which no one would have put money on before the season kicked off – certainly not me! But then it is fair to say that Lewis had, on average, pretty much the upper hand in race conditions – whether Lewis’ qualifying set up was compromised to focus on the race or whether Nico was genuinely just quick in qualifying and understood what you had to do from the power unit, the car and the tyres I don’t know.

"But either way that pole trophy went to Nico so he clearly showed he had the pace on a one-off lap. But if Lewis has a clean run this year, with less reliability issues, then I am sure he is going to be on his way to winning another world championship.”--

    Yup I agree with that.

Just a shame that whenever us (alleged) anti lewis do say this it gets ignored and the feeble smite us down by not praising king hami at every oppertunity.

Not entirely sure either. On even points with Alonso (apparently this is beating now) and Button outscored Ham over 3 years. I'm not aware of any other WDC teammates he had?

Funny how you say that and then in your very next post you feign ignorance.

    But just incase...

"beaten 2 fellow wdcs 3 times"

beat jenson twice. and beat alonso (same points but wins via countback) once. That is 3.

No need to be so critical really... Hamilton beat a guy who made absolute mincemeat out of your hero kimi raikkonen. If only Hamilton and Kimi could be team mates because that is probably what it would take for you to see how much superior Hamilton is

Stop crying you sound like a little jealous child who's favourite driver isn't even in the same league as Hamilton, GET.A.TISSUE you little girl.

That pretty well put. The amount of haters in here is quite entertaining.

why the **** is it that anyone that doesn't praise LewHam's ballsack is immediately a hater?

Forgot who said it in another thread, but Ham would likely be easier to tolerate/like if it wasn't for his militant fans.

FWIW, I dislike Ham's puiblic persona. Never ignored his talents and his driving is entertaining. I do think that (most) his ''fans'' make me dislike him even more though.

But he also got beat by Button, and the score over 3 years together Button came out ahead in points (no idea on wins, don't care).

Equal points with Alonso, great accomplishment and indeed ahead because of wins. Still same points though.

Kimi has **** all to do with this, I think he's highly talented and in the right car is almost unbeatable. Right car is a very unlikely scenario most times though. I'm a fan of Kimi because of his public persona, driving but am not deluded by thinking he's the end all be all of F1 drivers so your stupid ****ing tactic doesn't really work here.

The fact that i dislike 2 of the most popular drivers around here makes it a lot funnyer!!!
Going back to hammy...he sucks, FIA (briatore and Alonso) gave him his first w.c (in my book he lost that one)....and last year, Toto and Niki paved the way for him, after bashing and threatning Nico in public.....a shame.....so he has 2 titles, the first one as the most shameful championship ever won, and the second...well, a bit more deserved but even so!!!!
Still i would take him over Açlonso anyday, oit's hard to know wich one of them talks more Bs but i'm pretty sure he's faster.

I honestly don't know why they're here, especially the former. Why don't they join an Merc F1 forum or something....

    +1

No it's not!..... It's seriously reducing the value of the forum IMO. :(

I guess you forget they were teammates for three years. That's a pretty extensive sample size and over that period the record books tell us Jenson scored more points. Is he 'naturally' as quick? Probably not. But, Jenson is the archetypal 'good guy', doesn't get in trouble, doesn't tweet secret data in frustration, is super smooth and damn quick.

Is he 'as good'? Again, in the only direct comparison that matters, between teammates, the record books tell us he is.

+1 add ASJ to the list and your life continues to improve.

I have no problem with fans of any driver/team being here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how 'misguided' or how much some of us may disagree. My problem with these guys is their completely blinkered view, an inability to listen to other views and the BS they spout when questioned; eg, unless you too believe Hammy walks on water, you're a hater...... :(

    Cheers,
    Ian

When confronted with reality, denial and ridicule are the first means of action for people like you. You basicly cant handle the truth.. scared of some proper discussion? Seems a bit cowardly to me..

Whatever does it for you man...lmao.

    @IAN
O yeah i almost forgot, isnt it funny that total points over three seasons is ONLY used by people who criticize Lewis? Never in the history of F1 haave teammate been compared like that. (Its the only negative thing they CAN say about him)

Teammates are judged by season points and we ALL know Lewis beat Button 2-1 and was ahead most of the time. Button did not beat Lewis on merit because pacewise they where pretty much even that season. Both had 3 wins. And we all know second is the first of the losers. Lewis alreay gave iup that season due to Redbull dominance. Not taking anything away from Button but he got beat 2 out of 3 seasons and i regard Button as a proper champion...Better than hamilton? Never dont fool yourself. Two of his best wins where Germany and China 2011. I suggest anyone who doubts his skill should watch those races and learn about skill and fighting spirit.

Sure Alonso and Briatore handed him the title on a silver platter, dude you're f***** delusional. Lewis left a winning team for a team that was placed in fifth in the constructors so what the hell are you on about? Are you serious or is it just a bad case of trolling? Threatening Nico in public? Hahaha? Sure he did, tell me when where and after what session it was? Otherwise i call BULL****!

never knew how much biased idiots roam these threads. Very dissapointing from Ferrarichat, i expected better from this site..Oh well, you guys would be ripped apart and left for dead if you would spout this **** on reddit or Autosport forums.

And you're the only guy who is STILL a Vettel fan, not just a front runner.

All the other idiots left when he didn't place this year. I wish Hamilton the best in his career, he's a great driver, but i want these robots to go away and maybe we can go back to having one civilized thread without the mindless repetition.
